Called We-Care hotline. Learnt that I cannot install a reverse camera in my Preve as that will violate the warranty even if it is a Proton reverses camera system. Proton SC will not do such modification.

I assumed that I could add the reverse camera as long as it is a Proton camera system and it is done by Proton SC.

WRONG!

Will keep that in mind the next time I buy a new car. Get what I need and not add things later.

guys, my rear deck (speaker board area) there got tak tak tak tek tek tek sound when going uneven road. thus, i did soundproof there but still cant solve, wasted my few hundred bucks. i suspect root cause is the seat belt metal ball bearing sound, anyone here experiencing this or have any solution? if that is the problem, i guess all preve will have this issue?

Drive Preve like you would a manual, just like when you did hill test when taking driving license.

1. Stop on hill
2. Foot on brake
3. Pull handbrake
4. Foot OFF brake
5. Foot on accelerator
6. As the car feels like it wants to move, slowly release handbrake

Thinking of upgrading from my Saga BLM to a new Proton either a Preve or an Iriz...either one is fine. I like the Preve but am a bit cautious on all its fitting and finishings as the Iriz is slightly nicer in that department. I quite like all the nice auto wiper auto headlights functions in the Preve, its size and its power but am still a bit torn on either car. I feel the Preve has a bit more added value for its space and features but the Iriz just seems like a more natural buy.

Currently I travel in the city between Nilai and KL during the weekends and city driving during the weekdays. In my saga, a full tank at a cost of ~RM63 can get me about 260-300km of petrol before the light blinks. What's the basic cost of fuel in a Preve (full tank cost and range)? Fuel consumption is one of the things I'm concerned on the Preve but understand that it's a bigger car etc.

Any advice from you guys on whether an Iriz or a Preve is a better buy or should I be waiting for a facelifted updated engine version...or the Saga 3?

last week drove my preve to cameron. We visited one place with like more than 30% slope. my preve can't go up with full load using S mode. its like it is still on the higher gear. the car moves abit then straight loss power and gearbox light on. so i have to step on the brakes and the light went off again.

Most can naik, but I saw some cars got problem naik, especially when carrying full load. The last time I saw one was an old Toyota....slow down halfway and kenot naik anymore.

There is jam infront so had to use the brake. I did handbrake and pedal then only slowly lift handbrake with S Mode. The car got the power and move a little, then straight power loss even i floor the pedal. So had to stop the car cause dont have power to climb. Did that twice and still same. So had to go down all the way and let power build up to climb. Viva behind overtake me

i know...but with the current promo...will diff about 30rggt monthly payment....extra 30 rggt i get a c class segment with boot...but sacrifice on newer tech in iriz...

same hre, my wife book preve end of august, that time we also know proton and perodua will come out new compact car... but we no longer look for small car. so take preve, that time was wondering take the premier spec or exec type.... my agent told me if my wife not those speeding type and normally drive below 100km/h... just take exec wil do... save same 10k... he don mind he earn less commission ....

hi all.. im still new to this preve.. planning to get preve premium this month.. my questions are

1- if we use spoiler such as lancer GT spoiler, will it interrupt the sight  when we want to look through the rear view mirror?

yes.. sure will block part of it.. not recommended.

2- any recommendation for reverse camera? budget around rm300..

recently i just installed, direct mirror on Preve Premium HU, no wire cut, just connect a socket on HU, and make a hole for camera at the back. then done. workmanship important.. i find my friend do it.. everything put nicely.. no rat noise as ppl mentioned..

3- what is the best size for rim and tyres that will not cause the "sagat" issue?

no idea.. but i think 16 inch is good.

Anyone here who use Proton Preve CVT Exec encounter this before.

Today when i drive from my house to University Malaya and have lunch with my friends then when i reach a dead end road so i have to reverse my car.

When i change the gear to R then i start to reverse the car.

While reversing half way my car suddenly engine cut off.

I have to restart back the car.

That time my car only on radio listening music through pendrive at volume 15 then aircond temperature and speed is only half that means only 50%.

I want to know why my car engine suddenly cut off and i have to restart the car when i reversing.

If manual / premium / LE also got this issue ?
