Hi all Sifu here,

I'm planning for a trip to Hokkaido during early of March. Plan to visit to the ski resort, day trip (either Niseko or ski resort near Sapporo or Otaru).

But notice there are many charges just to visit there, approx 10-15k yen for entrance fee and rental of winter jackets and skateboard/ ski equipments, excluding any lessons.

Would like to check is there any budget way to ski (just to experience) there?

And, for the onsen town, Currently choosing between Toyako and Noboribetsu. Any recommendation?

y minakami town looks like ghost town one
a lot seems like abandon hotels n houses
the same goes for areas around mt. haruna and abit at lake chuzenji
not sure if it is due to lack of tourism activities or younger ppl all gone to bigger city?

actually i dont know how people can stand the water temp. At tenzan onsen, the water of one of the pool is damn hot. Can rebus egg one 

u travel alone can la. can't imagine if travel with a bunch of friends or family

Well, tattoo = yakuza in Japan after all. And as we all know, the Japanese everyday person is quite adherent to such unwritten rules (or rather, stereotypes). Even if the very idea of a gaijin yakuza is quite... weird...

I mean, even if the onsen management understands, their local clientèle might not. That would be rather bad for business lol.

That said, I often wonder, where DO yakuza members go to dip in onsen then? I mean, gang members want some hot spring lovin' too rite?
