Hi FYI I did my research but just wan to be sure, hoping if there's anyone in Tokyo can provide an actual update it will be good. I asked but it doesn't mean I never do my research, afterall I thought this is forum for people to discuss and ask, anyway thanks for your reply.
Typhoon gone. It wont stayed at one place for long....two typhoon have already hit Tokyo for consecutives week but I dont think any more is coming. If it does I will be the first to know as I need to make sure all my warehouse is fine in Japan. But then I am not God, so cannot really predict

True also... Nice to visit but may not be nice to work in. Looking at them, I kinda see them like being supressed...
Cool.. Good to know you got some nice spots. Will hit your up when the time comes. Thanks again.
Well not necessary. Really depends on which company you work. Been here for two years and do really like it here. Met tons of Malaysian here as well who have been here for much much longer and not many of them have plan to go back home to work....retirement yes.
I'm only gonna be in Fukuoka for one night, so the stuff you mentioned about delays will be a real issue. Even if I do order today, unless they do EMS, it's not gonna be a given that stuff will arrive at the hotel when I need it to - especially when I'm arriving in about a week. Even if I send it to the airport the same problem applies.
I went through the Yodo website (which thankfully is easy to figure out) just now, and unfortunately the Zipshot is listed as "discontinued"... which is a shame as it's a whole lot cheaper there.
But considering that they actually have a Yodo right next to Hakata station maybe I'll have better luck (if not with the Zip, with something comparable) by just going to the store myself - or maybe the nearby Bic.
Thanks for the input anyway.
You also need to confirm with the seller when they will actually ship the goods. I order very often from Amazon, and most of the time, its delivered in 2-3days using Takyubin, which is the norm. However there are some shops that even though they have stock, it took them 5 days. Most recent order I made was Sunday evening, and I got it on Tuesday morning.
Hmm 2-5 days. Allowing for *problems* to arise, like I said before, maybe I'm better off heading to Yodo Hakata when I get there.
Looking at the site, prices seem good vs what we get locally (plus the current below 3 exchange rate which is a good bonus) and the range is extensive.
... except for the fact that they don't seem to keep stock of the Zipshot any more. They do have a cheaper clone on sale (and in stock) though, let's see if it's good enough.
Oh, and anybody know if any Uniqlo stores in Japan actually stock "plus" sizes? I know the website does, but that's about it. Googling is giving me mixed answers, mostly saying no. Keeping my hopes up though - have to get me some heattech goodness before going up to Hokkaido later.
On another note, today go JTB get JRPass. Hopefully they updated the price according to the current exchange already, and can get it a bit cheaper.
As far as I know Uniqlo in Ginza have plus size. Not sure about others though.
omg! i'm going this Thursday! Pray that the weather is better then
Came back from Kyoto last week. Was a last minute trip and was lucky to get a hotel and also shinkansen, a very early shinkansen though as its full with ppl balik kampung. Was lucky that I miss the snow storm. Went to Kyoto during the Holidays and it was really jam pack with tourist especially the buses. At Kyoto station, you can see lots of people quieing to take buses. It will be better to take train as well, cause roads were jam as well......took about 20mins just to leave the vincinity of Kyoto Station.
I'm going to Kyoto on 13th Jan, so really hope the weather will be ok. The crowd should be lesser on that week hor compare to yours...
I guess it should be ok. 12th is a public holiday in Japan, so I guess the peak period is over. Also there are alot of overseas tourist and I guess there will be less as well, since a lot of them will be busy with first day at school, etc....
I going to travel to Japan tomorrow for first time, as title state, how to rent a broadband there? can anyone share your experience?
I have a friend who actually rented a mobile wifi for 1000yen/day. He told me he got it from the Narita. Arrived, came out with luggage and go to those phone counters and ask.
is this alright? 1. is day 1 too heavy? 2. big lockers for luggage will be available in train station like Shibuya?
USJ and dotombori in one day??? With all the queue in USJ, it will take up whole day. Unless you just plan to go to USJ to "look see" and leave after that.
Found something nice. For those willing to spent more money to travel to Japan and don't mind landed at Narita International Airport. Can Try ANA B787-8 from Singapore to Tokyo (Narita). Due to ANA does't have any flight to Kuala Lumpur. You have to fly to Singapore first.
This is those high tech stuff can get inside B787
There is Another option Which I travel to Japan most using this way. Fly with Eva Air. Kuala Lumpur to Taipei First by A330-300 Hello Kitty Theme Aircraft. From Taipei to any part of Japan city with Eva Air.
Most Airline usual provided Japanese / Western Food Option. Eva Air Will Provided Chinese Cuisine / Japanese Cuisine. Which I like more this way.
Not only that, ANA, is offering free business class seat to any destination of your choice. The catch here is that you will be given a camera to film your entire journey. Its their marketing gimmick and 20 lucky people will be selected per term.
haha... u r right... this is the exactly same damn thing i get from my friends... my friends always ask me japan best ma? i sure answer best la... then he or she said, but hoh "my friend punya friend come back from japan but cannot have baby ady le..." i also dono how to answer them already...
Not sure how true is this. I have been staying in Tokyo for a few years and so far I see a lot of people giving birth to healthy babies. Even near my neighbourhood I see a lot of newborn. Unless you say Japanese are immune to radiation......
okok... I oso hv plan for the Nagano Broadway, thanx to the page#1 tips
and where is Shin-Higashi Koenji Station? 1) Shin-Kōenji Station 2) Higashi-Kōenji Station <--- this? both oso very far from JR Chuo Line, 20mins walking... minimum
if you are in Nagano Broadway, checkout Jackroad and Betty road for their watches. Time to get some IWCs and Rolex before the prices shoots up due to FRANC ...
