QUOTE(sordanny @ Jul 7 2014, 04:52 PM) Good job for the new thread!! I have both local and china unit, both GPS lock instantly. No problem with GPS/Waze. It does not have disconnection issue too. bro my unit doesn't have any problem with GPS/Waze it's a China unit and GPS will lock almost instantly, maybe it's a problem with local units?? any other people got GPS problem?? the holder looks nice but it's pricey |

QUOTE(sordanny @ Jul 7 2014, 04:59 PM) guys have anyone tried tempered glass screen protector?? I tried this tempered glass screen protector, http://www.lelong.com.my/tempered-glass-sc...5-05-Sale-P.htm http://www.lelong.com.my/huawei-mediapad-h...7-01-Sale-I.htm http://www.lelong.com.my/tempered-glass-sc...5-05-Sale-P.htm my last tempered glass screen protector was a disaster... now using anti fingerprint screen protector It is a disaster which I have already removed and replace with normal screen protector. I wanted to try the other one but when I ask seller, no respond if it is the same as the earlier one with both top and bottom does not stick properly. I have also check with dealer who sell tempered screen protector (in sunway pyramid), they also facing the same problem, both top and bottom does not stick properly. |

QUOTE(Bujal.x @ Jul 10 2014, 08:39 AM) Actually Honor X1 have both 3G and LTE. Both honor x1 and mediapad x1 is the same hardware, only different is that honor x1 is meant for china, there is no google apps inside. Mediapad x1 is for international market. Both LTE phone also have dual LTE which is FDD & TDD. |

I have updated my china set to the new firmware, it is running at 4.4.2 and emui 2.3. The update will wipe the phone memory, so need to do back up. After update, the icon seem nicer. Good news, save app to memory card is still there by default. Much better memory management, which now is got about 900-1000mb free memory. Much more theme available. Now can see the telco name at the top. Font is bigger.

QUOTE(Bujal.x @ Jul 14 2014, 10:53 AM) No OTA yet, need to download the firmware from huawei cn site and update using memory card. I don't think OTA can do yet, the file is very big, about 900MB and it will wipe your phone memory. But the good thing is that this phone have backup function that allow you to back everything including apps. So far everything work, only two apps that I have does not work, which is GSC and Digi apps. Both mentioned cannot use for this version |

QUOTE(sordanny @ Jul 15 2014, 03:30 PM) There is backup apps which is under tools folder. (it could be under cloud folder if there is any such folder). Just run the apps and follow the information, it will do backup to your memory card. There is few option you can choose on what you want to backup. For my case, once i restore, the icon/folder arrangement is not properly done (perhaps due to the different screen resolutions after the firmware update). Other information is properly restored. |

QUOTE(tongaz86 @ Aug 4 2014, 09:42 PM) Same...also waiting for black model.Hope it's not true only China market get black model. I am using China set and the LTE can be use in Malaysia. Actually 503L have dual LTE which can work for both TDD & FDD LTE. Just that China set does not have Google service installed, so you may need to install it yourself. Very simple to install, no need to root. China LTE model can't used in Malaysia? I got another local set which I am thinking to sell and get a China set, black color. |

I have just spoke to Huawei Support in SG and technical person in China via conference call. They mentioned that the firmware update to 4.4 will be out on 1 Sept. The reason is that they need time to get approval from Google before releasing the firmware.
