Finally solved my Google now temp issue - I failed to see the 3 dots at top n was trying only the bottom menu

I have previously used the Ascend Mate
This X1 is a very significant n great upgrade
It has a better display at 1080p, higher ram n internal memory, speedier processor n better camera
Only issue is its bigger size which some users could find it uncomfortable

One just cannot compare the old Tab with this...is like comparing a 800cc viva against an Accord !!
Lag if there is I would say is negligible. All phones/tablets even iphone/ipad do show some very minor form of lag at times
This phablet is very much less bloated vs the Tab

I had been using Nova launcher since day one for this phone
Out of curiosity I decided to switch to its default Emoticon UI - it took me an hour to organize all my apps into folders. Only cons are there is lack of customization with it - eg icon sizes, changing icon themes, font sizes of icons etc
Immediate impression after 2 days - the whole phone appears smoother in homescreen transition . Unlike Nova, at certain times only, there was a slight delay up to 1-2 secs when closing an app ( eg Facebook) and return back to homescreen. Such was completely absent and every app opening and closure and return back to homescreen was instantaneous

I was not aware there is a wifi only version. Thought all will come with phone features too!!
What is the build number ? Ours is 7D-501L usually for international set

No problem having multiple tabs in Chrome or Boat or Dolphin browsers. Strange you have such issues which I never faced even in my previous Xperia tablet
4k video never bother but I just tested one 5 min clip from YouTube - appears ok to me . No frames drop or stuttering noted. But your standard of smoothness exceptionally high so cannot really answer you
Anyway don't expect performance to match M8 !!! Example Antutu only 22k vs say 35-38k of M8

Does Vroot has an unroot feature ? If one uses root genius program unrooting is an available feature

Official retail price you are paying for it ? Any freebies? Elsewhere you can get it for rm1180-1199 ( early days of launch) n I believe it is even slightly cheaper now

No problem ; I am using Sandisk 64 GB Class 10 on it ( fat32 formatted)
Besides this phone, many others Samsung, HTC , Sony and LG also specifies 32GB limit but can easily support up to 64GB too

Depend on what you wish to use it for. There is never any best phone/tablet ; only diehard fans will claim theirs is the best
I would say the Tab is more suitable as a tablet than as a phone. The X1 fits both phone n tablets needs nicely due to its reduced slim bezel making it more pocketable.
Basing on specs the Tab has an edge. I have no experience using or even touching it yet.
The Tab costs about rm500 extra vs the X1
Only you can decide which meet your needs better
And is true Samsung updates are often faster n more frequent.

For those interested, this is the phone recovery mode

I NEVER use chrome in all my Androids. I consider it to be the worst browser. Google needs a lot of work on it. However Chrome is the best on my Mac vs Safari or Firefox
I prefer Dolphin or Boat n absolutely no lag

I don't really play games on this phablets. I would say based on its chipset scores one would get a much better gaming experience with those phones having SD 800 or 801 chip.
So far I have tested several high end games n it runs fine . But being a non serious gamer I cannot say how good or bad it was.
I used this phablet mainly for internet related stuffs - email, browsing, rss, tweeter, facebook , ebook n mag etc n is I would say close to perfect. I have rated this phone as more than above average at a score of 8/10 for my needs. Those looking for a near 10 score should consider others prefarably those w SD 800/801 chipset.
And I beg to differ saying emoticon UI lag . I find it way much smoother than Nova and had been on it close to 2 weeks. Have given up on Nova since switching over. Lag is subjective n it does occur once a while but will the 1-2 sec delay affect you ?? I have yet to come across any lagless smartphone including even the famed iPhone 4s/5. Overall the phone is very smooth 99.9% of the time

No such issues on mine.
Every phone sure has some minor issues . Don't expect a perfect phone. Some are isolated n no need to worry
Seriously after using so many types of phones I just disregard all those minor issues reported. You get concerned only when many users complained about similar issues
I have described previously my experience using emoticon ui vs Nova. Again different user different perception of smoothness. This also depends on your apps. All my apps are 100% original n I do not used any pirated apps
There is a link on page 1 where I rated the phone in several aspects. Don't expect to see a perfect score of 10 in most. A score of 8 I already deemed is good for most users

If you faced such insufficient space just use the app SDMaid to clear up your caches, corpse files n app/system ...I faced this in my previous phones before but not on this X1
However your phone must be rooted to use this app.

Mine is always 100% . Just a slight double tap will do fine. Any place also can but I usually tap at around center's

Saw Black unit available at Lazada : RM 1140 for 16GB and RM 1418 for 32GB
His posting doesn't show any warranty indications . I think is probably grey imported set
Seller is Ho Kwan Technology - never heard of this company before. Checking his selling list, he sells quite many types of phones too
