yeah.. i know that.. but there is options like back then where dev tried to port MIUI into various android phone.. why can't they crack MIUI on mi3? haha.. just wonder.. not pushing any string here..

Yeah, this GPL thing is all about it. Too bad though, but I just hope they'll release the kernel code once their latest flagship released. Hope there's other roms too.

If we have scale from 1(worst) to 10 (best), Mi3 perform at 8 while S3 LTE perform at 2 (no gaming whatsoever).

The reason is Mi3-
a) processor is faster 3x than S3 so everything snappy
b) storage in Mi3 also 4x faster than S3
c) screen also better than S3
d) wifi also 4x faster
e) camera is 2x better

S3 is rubbish compared to Mi3.

expandable memory is overrated and has nothing to do with performance.

nowadays extra storage isn't refer only to memory card (microsd) only, now include pendrive on the go.. so why bother? you can extend your storage without memory card slot..

The display seems to sucked more juice than my S4 amoled at dim level. In most case, on my S4, its display time and apps usage sucked almost on par battery but MI3 battery usage seems to go more into display when compared with same usage style as my S4.

The improvement is that S3 can be thrown into rubbish bin. That's how good is Mi3 compared to S3. S3 can be confined to rubbish bin liao.

Currently when using a custom rom, So far my S3 smooth compare to my stock ROM..

Does mi3 have any choice for Custom Rom other MIUI?

By the way, I did ask a friend of my who did have Samsung S3 international and mi3, she did sell off his mi3 due to no extended memory slot and no LTE. She did mention, mi3 is a good phone. And inform me normal usage will have no noticeable difference.

Actually the policy is not policy but law la. You can fight them in court.

By the way, Xiaomi is good. Service center is same for Samsung too. They don't do 1-to-1 swap unless you fight them in court.

Hi Guys I just send my phone to service center,the so called one to one exchange service come with hidden policy,they'll try to service our phone until cannot service they only replace with a new one.I really disappointed with the after sales service.this is the first and last I purchase XiaoMi product.

Service center at amcorp trade center,I saw few send their mi3 go repair too.They'll contact me tomorrow after checking and attempting repair.Same service center as Huawei,Samsung,Sony Xperia.

Suntzulee,My phone just received yesterday but cannot switch on and cannot charge.When first attempt to switch on,the back of the phone become very hot and I barely can hold it.Luckily didn't explode.

No yet, latest SC is in Melaka & Johor, total 6 SC's.

I believe East Malaysia coming soon. (less than 2 month in our market mah).

Sure Samsung got 1 to 1 exchange ? My friend S3 repaired 3 times also no 1 to 1 exchange..

S5 is is an example mah, plus you seem to have a prejudice against S5 

OS and functionality are more of my preference. Outer appearance is worthless to me as the first thing i do is to slide in a casing and the generic label is gone.

Another thing is important factor is a massive fanbase as to have a good steam of developers for the phone making it never fall behind in update and customisation 

Biggest draw of xiaomi is the price i admit. I have 1 with another unit coming in. Healthy competition to bring the price down please

My device (ap set) cant detect maxis/hotlink sim card..other provider is fine (tested with umobile and celcom)
already swap different maxis card but still the same..even bought new hotlink starter pack

tested on different rom (chinese 4.3,my 4.3 and developer rom) but still the same result

i read somewhere some maxis user having call drop and no network issue but mine totaly cant detect maxis card..

any help really appreciated
