There're a hundred ppl raging abt delivery....but 1000 ppl who receive their items satisfied but never complain nor comment. Think abt it.

Major note is if you like LTE mobile speed, MI3 is not for you. If you like to use SD card or stores huge data, MI3 is not for you either. Battery capacity seems huge at 3000mah but in reality MI3 sucked up screen juice really really fast compared to Samsung Amoled. Amoled does have major advantage of no using any power for displaying black colour.

I encased my S4 with Spigen Armor View casing, so plastic or not, no difference to me. So why bother with what ppl say as its their preference. I do know polycarbonate plastic used are darn tahan lasak, that buys it for me.

Battery drain in 6 hours....my mom is using S3, last a whole 2 days. It really depends on what and how they use the phone, what celup apps they installed that drain the battery hard as it HAPPENED to practically all android phones if apps goes rogue and users just blame it on the phone instead. Want the more trouble free phone, iphone is really the one to go for but at that price, not many ppl can afford it.

My s4 is ultra smooth, so what lags, probably your friend bogs in down with background running apps. Its user issues.

More ppl using a brand, more chances of ppl encountering failure, that's how its is. I can only sell 2 phones and say hey, I got 100% satisfied report from my customers.

I'm comparing my USAGE of MI3 vs my existing S4. So its a valid comparison, not technical one tho coz on paper spec, 5 hours screen time is a lot but on real life usage it usually varies.

Oh...I unplug my S4 at 6am and plug back at 12pm, still got 20% left....so how ar as it seems I never find the need to use powerbank halfway thru the day with either phones either..

Oh my daughter's MI3 unplug at 8am and she blows thru all the power by 12pm...it really really depends on usage. Both batteries really have no issue blasting thru a day or 2 on casual usage.

Personally I don't think that's trolling coz he is really unsure and doubtful abt it, even with several convincing, we just need to lay out reasoning in various "format" to convince him if possible.

I'm that way myself last time, thus I understand very well and I'm very long breath and patient in explaining assuming I got it right myself (found myself wrong big time several times tho, don't mind being corrected).

I guess you really don't have anyone with you that is really ignorant on tech, is it not?

I have a sister WHO is not really good at IT, if ask her to do research, habis, don't know what comes out. So she will always ask her brother to find and decide for her and trust me on that since I'm familiar or at least able to do more thorough research than one who don't have any idea where to start and what to do.

If I have someone who I deem is MUCH stronger than me in a field and I need a solution from that field, would it be faster for me to do take time to do research for something I'm not really keen to go into details or I just ask that someone to do it for me (I know he's willing, no prob)....

Mm...warranty might really be an issue if you live far away coz unlike phone shops where you can send it, MI3, you need to go yourself to SC especially if its in a different town. Never really think of that coz all the current SC is within my reach.

For your sis, if she only do whatapps, wechat, sms, phone calls, surf net, etc, I doubt she will encounter any bugs or might even be ignorant of a bug that might irritate us but she just glide over it without realising its a bug.

Even S4, if really read up on it, there's tons of bugs and complain here and there but in reality, the only one that is visible to me is this widget hang thingy that does not happen to everyone and besides that, I don't see or realise any visible bugs, so don't put too much into bugs reporting. And if you really look carefully, you might just realise a lot of these bugs reporting does not come from stock rom as well.

Try to discipline your OLDER sister who has look after you...

Put +6 into your ALL your contact number. If your number does not begin with +60 (country code), that problem that you mention will appear. Note that when contact name appear when receiving sms, that means that number in your contact has already have +60 in front.

Mind tell me what is the stability differences with Chinese if you know? There is a delay for mikey to activate whenever i first use it (probably for program to load). So if I clear memory, clear program, etc, it will take a few second to activate when I use it. After that its smooth.

Oh btw, I'm using it with my S4 instead coz my daughter I bought the key for likes to use piston iem instead.

Did you remove the stock protector that cover your screen? If you have not coz waiting for real protector before peeling it off, try lift//peel the top blocking/covering the top sensors and try again.

I tot there is a readme manual in the home screen when you get the phone? Never bother reading it, so not sure how what is in it.

IOS is almost always smoother and more efficient as its customized to a single phone spec. Its much more stable but lack customization features unless you jailbreak. So if you want to change back to IOS, be prepared to pay 3 times the price you pay for MI3 tho. The massive price differences is the one that "encourage" many to just bear with the slight delay vs $$$ lost.

If you're looking for flip case, the best quality I've seen is Torras branded. Its compatible with our version. All my MI3 are using these flip casing (colour flip, 2 tone). For my father in law, I've gotten the business looking Torras Cow Leather case, a real high quality hard leather case that should protect against direct impact of crush externally.

Been using mikey for my Galaxy S4.

Looking at battery consumption, the mikey app (Chinese) process seems to take 3% of the battery with wakelock number 80 times and 11 min. in total. That is without clicking on mikey even once.

I always remove mikey from active program and keep the option running in background (in Mikey app) off. I understand the process MUST run if mikey, that's expected.

As for battery optimization, I think MI3 screen whack a lot more juice off when compared with S4, thus if no use phone screen, MI3 will have more juice but if use it at same screen time as S4, its gonna go down way faster (I attribute that to AMOLED black pixel no use power).

So having a 3K mah battery is not a major advantage over S4 if both uses same amt of display time, that's my 2 cents.

The chap with order issue has a rare error, not those "coming 2 days", "ups never show up" posts. It is for me a valid "technical" post, as it IS related to official website AND its a technical issue, in fact. As long as other posters does not complain and all are actually helping, I don't see why TS should "warn" it.

Please note again, the main reason we got a problem last time is the "REPORT" button and the current mod has already posted, as long as its not direct advertisement or direct self sales posts, and no one complaining (report button no press), no issue. So loosen up, it makes the thread more "flexible" and varied in information.

Actually I got no problem with current TS, just a bit too dictatorial coz kena burn before thus I ask to relax a bit coz MOD has already clarified, as long as not a direct self sales or advertisement posts AND no one complain about it AND not trolling (serious posters trolls sometimes sure allowed but not those annoying trolls that seeks to annoy), they got no issue as well.

Don't want to root. Prefer stock coz no want to mess with system. Too many data in my phone now, even stayed with 4.3 coz 4.4 kitkat need factory reset to run smoothly.

Greenify need roots although non-root version working but still only in early stage. Wonder tho, whether my batt is degraded.
