In terms of typing, no phone that I've used so far come close to my 9700. That's a fact. Only thing is keeps on lagging. That's why I changed to Samsung. At that time, Samsung was the 'IN' phone while BB is..... well, how to put it.... a laughing stock.

BTW, BB world for my old 9700 can't be used anymore? Try updating some apps in 9700 but can't!
*
yes cannot, and the system of phone ram or processor is not support.
But I like the BB quality, not like the samsung slim plastic

don't worry with or without BBM. BlackBerry's methods of emphasizing on the communication makes you a champion when you use the phone to communicate.

By the way, I can run 2 instances of BBM, WhatsApp, WeChat, and few others. kekekekeke.
Valid via BlackBerry 10.

kekekekeke.

This might be the phone BlackBerry needed to boost up their sales back. In my Opinion, who used to own BB9780, I changed to Android because I feel old BB is outdated and Android offer much more features that is useful in my daily life.

When BB release OS10 phone, Q10, Z10 and Z30, I ask myself, why would I change back to BB. Z10 and Z30 which are full touchscreen phone(i used bb bcz of physical kb) but has lower spec compared to my Android phone, I might just keep using my Android. Who cares about OS10 bla bla bla, smartphone for average user do the same things. Then the Q10, I really want to get it because I want phone with physical keyboard, but then, from the outside, people will think Im using the old BB9900 because there are no big change other than the OS. Yeah I care about what people think of my phone, because I just spent 2k on it.

This BB Passport is great because it has wow factor, when I first look at it, I was like, wtf, what phone is this, so different. A phone for a freak?? This is what I want lol. Hopefully it will comes with great software support. I kinda feel sad sometimes when people look down on BB user, because I know BB always deliver quality products. Never own OS10 phone, so cant comment more on the software part..

The square isn't crap actually.

Makes sense when you look at certain angles. I'm going to pull BlackBerry's explanation, and then offer some thoughts.

First, you have to see this and let them explain the thought behind the design:

http://blogs.blackberry.com/2014/07/passport-design/

Then, if you ask, why not add a toolbelt and do a belt and call it a day? (like an enlarged 9900), because it wasn't the idea of them doing that, and it'll be silly in terms of wasted real screen size estate and real functionality hindered by the fact that the 9900 was deliberately engineered for single hand use in any way.

I don't think the Passport was designed to be single handed use. The keyboard itself is capacitative, hence making it to be a built in trackpad. It also serves to be used as a gesture keyboard . What are these gestures, nobody knows, and nobody knows how its supposed to work. But BlackBerry have hinted that its going to feel like a Z keyboard than a Q keyboard (Z as in Z10, Z3, and Z30).

I won't comment on they keyboard until I've seen live action of it, because people have condemned the Z10's keyboard when it was demo-ed UNTIL they tried it and found it to be REALLY amazing.

With this coming into the sight, I'm never gonna be more proud than I am now in being a BlackBerry fan publicly. Even with those sneers I get for claiming it from people around me. Haha! biggrin.gif *sets some money aside for Passport*

Good! Now spread the word!

By the way, some additions, (can't take the pictures as they are still under some forum exclusitivity), now dark mode is enabled for BlackBerry Hub!

Z30 users ... 1 week standby time =>1 month standby time? LOL
