on a rather creepy note... i was sitting in front of my computer very much most of friday night looking at flightradar watching SQ633 land at changi... that was how much participation i had at NMLF+

and now we have to wait till live acoustic before a bluray get launched into the market most probably... KR is going to have a fun time milking the shit out of this one... it's gonna be a 5 disc wallet killer looking at it...

nah... i'll just wait for the bluray to come out...

she can't satisfy everyone... furthermore, it's not a new song from supernal liberty... it's not really one of those staple songs in her concerts like eternal blaze or power gate... so, it figures... the concert i considerably shorter too i heard...

she is speaking in english... feels so weird...

But I preferred rockbound neighbours to supernal liberty.. hmm.gif

Anyway, I still enjoyed the waving, jumping shouting at the concert nevertheless. biggrin.gif
Just felt regretful for not bringing any glowsticks on that night. sad.gif

Her english was hilarious. tongue.gif

She did say that supernal liberty is a different style of her songs...more rock based than her previous albums...

WAAAAAATTTTTTTT!!!!! You didn't bring a glow stick to NM Live?

Did they make a booklet on how the glowstick waving and jumps for the major songs?

They did that in taiwan. I think it's a fan group who voluntarily made them so everyone is in sync...

i've been attending anison concerts since 2008 annually (afa basically, and other various concerts in MY/SG time to time) so it was probably hilarious back then, maybe not so much today.

You're implying that once you get rotan'ed enough, you no longer feel the pain?

It's logical...i guess...

I thought she said that supernal's theme was "retro & future"... hmm.gif

I don't think they ever made a booklet for that as I noticed some people waving differently..
There are even some people who sat down for the entire concert too. sweat.gif

Moreover, this is also the first concert I've ever attended in my life, so I apologise for not bringing that. blush.gif

It's quite a mix bag of stuff, but generally more rock themed than her previous album (at least i think)... I think she just overdone it because it's her 10th album and i am not sure if it was rushed as it was launched in a shorter span of time between albums based on her last one rockbound neighbors (which somehow sounds quite contradicting to my statement)...

I certainly didn't like as many songs on it as the others....and if there is any, weirdly it's the slow ones like ai no hoshi... This prompted my decision not to go to NMLF+ because i thought it will be filled with songs from supernal liberty... And to my regrets when i found out they put power gate, pop master and discotheque almost together in the set list towards the end really had me kicking myself...sad...

They should be thrown out of the concert... How do they expect to see anyone if everyone in front of them stood up?

Like taiwan there is no screens to show the stage right?

Maybe they might laugh at you trying to speak in their language too....so, consider it leveled...

So, you goin to attempt going for live acoustic to celebrate her birthday with her? It's mostly gonna be like the weekend before her birthday, so it's gonna be like 2 days in advance... Not as close as live grace ~opus II~ which is on the eve but close enough..

IMO, I think the original ai no hoshi was much better than the album version.

There were many songs that I dislike in supernal too. sweat.gif

Nope. There were projectors showing short movies during each segment though.

Nah, I'm only just a casual listener of her music as I mostly listen to J-pop songs..

I also prefer her older songs much more to her newer songs(like some people out there).. blush.gif

I think so too... The vitalization singles version seems more appropriate...

I have 2 favorite j-pop artiste...one has gone missing for 4 years and counting...nana doesn't have the song writing capability equivalence but she is better from an entertainer perspective...she is not a trend setter like ayumi hamasaki but she still ranks high in my books for not being a mainstream artiste and still able to hold fans from both sides of the industry...

It's funny that for a few years i didn't know who she was or even her name... I wasn't even sure of the track title (power gate although it's a simple guess since it's the only english phrase repeated over and over in the song) of the song that caught my attention back then (early 2000's)...ID3 tagging on mp3 on non-english songs was practically still shit and her album was non existent even at the common areas like sin ma plaza in kl where you can get all your japanese domestic discs.. Youtube was practically non-existent...god, it has since been more than 10years since then ...

Ah, ayumi hamasaki is one of my favourite j-pop artists too(been listening to her music since I was 7 or 8). biggrin.gif

Like what I've read from what a fan has mentioned in a chinese forum, Nana is one of the few artists in the industry to have her fame rise up slowly.. not instantly like ayumi hamasaki and utada hikaru. That's why I respect her a lot(as someone who isn't really a serious fan yet). blush.gif

For me, I think the first few songs I've heard from her are wild eyes and hime murasaki and that was during 2005. My brother always played those two songs at that time, but I didn't know who she was.
It was until around 2007 when I watched the nanoha dub on tv.. that's how it all began for me.

I see that you seem to be quite an old fan of her already. brows.gif

On another note, I feel upset now as it seems that her taiwan concert yesterday had a "better" setlist than the singapore concert(don't be long and risouron). sad.gif
Now I felt like I should have went for that instead.. sweat.gif

Ayu @ 7 or 8, wat the hell??? I was still on old mcdonald had a farm i think...

Ayu, yeah back then i think she was good too...until she got divorced and sort of gone to the crazies a bit...and she got married again this year....hope she dun pull a britney spears on us.... The concerts are getting a bit raunchy in recent years

Well, i still have ayu's live countdown 2000 dvd for good memories....one of the very first concert i own of hers which i quite liked compared to the rest...just hoped it was shot in high def back then...

no wonder avex hates their artiste getting married....ayu practically shot to fame after namie amuro got married... japanese are darn realistic...it's like they can't have her, they no longer wanna buy her music... Which in some ways is bad news for nana...otaku and her male mainstream fans is bad news for her love life and she is 34 already this year
..

Yeah...she took time...she had to as she did not have the freedom of ayu or utada who practically have the full backings of their record companies...even though nana is still the one KR heavily banks on....she still have to juggle between her job as a seiyu, doing voiceovers and as a radio show host...it must be taxing on her...and she still find time to participate in making her own music...(even though she doesn't compose or do arrangements of her songs like her other compatriots)...not the best female vocalist..but, neither do i find her to be 100% idol based...she is just what she is...i could not expect more out of her as an entertainer...

You should read her novel shin ai if you have the time...i bought it but i know jack shit about japanese, so i just looked for summary translation done by fans...

Here is one of the blogs who did summary translation of it if u have the time and interest...her journey to fame is not as many thinks...her hardship rivals that of ayu at the start of her career (or at least to say) and i wouldn't say she has the best of a family in supporting her in becoming what she is today (although her family is not as ridiculous as utada's where teruzane and keiko divorced 7 times over the period of time after utada was born)

I cant admit being one as i am sure there are people in malaysia who is more obsessed with her than i am...

I think of it the other way round... I seemed to like singapore's setlist better...

Taiwan tickets was practically sold out in a matter of hours and black market tickets gone as high as six times the price of the tickets i read from somewhere...
