Yup..many thinks we should replace suarez with the same skill as him...teeeettt!..wrong!...we should replace his goals, not the man himself..there is only 1 suarez..his 30+goals should be shared to other new players..bony 15goals,new winger 10goals,lalana 12 goals
*
False! To score goals you need to create chances. Suarez is much more than just goals. He topped or was among the top of the league in terms of key passes, dribble attempts, penalties won etc. We should look at someone who can exert that sort of influence upfront in goals and assists. Reus and Benzema both fit the bill but I don't think they are realistic targets.

In addition to Bony, we are also linked with Lukaku apparently. Don't know how much truth in that but a much better option than Bony albeit a more expensive one.

He was only good for like half season. He's a decent player but surely not worth 20mil. Maybe 15-16
Alberto
Aspas
Borini
Assaidi
DST
Coutinho
Sakho
Mignolet
Allen
Kolo mee
Only DST and Coutinho turned out good? But still, none of his signings were more than 20mil. laugh.gif

Quality players will not come cheap. And cheap players often turn out to be duds.

It's the manager's job to turn rubbish into gold, and that is a good measure of how good the manager is.

Anfield has lost it's hero, and arguably one of the most talented players to have ever pulled on the Liverpool shirt. But they have also sold a player who will turn 28-years-old in January, a player with a reputation for controversy who is banned for the next four months, and they have made him the third most expensive player of all time.

Liverpool will be disappointed - from it's club officials, to it's manager, from it's players, to it's fans, they will be sad to see their icon leave. But if they are realistic, they will know that they have done good business, and that they have every reason to be optimistic for the coming season.

Alexis Sanchez has made a huge mistake snubbing Liverpool for Arsenal

After what seemed like weeks of speculation Arsenal finally won the tug-of-war battle with Liverpool over Barcelona striker Alexis Sanchez.

The Chilean striker completed his £30 million switch to London after turning down a move to join Brendan Rodgers’ Reds revolution.

Liverpool Legend turned Sky Sports pundit Phil Thompson recently stated that the 25-year-old’s move to Anfield was a done deal.

But after confirmation that the player has moved to Arsenal, Thompson told Sky Sports News: ‘Sanchez doesn’t know what he’s missing by not joining Liverpool. The passion, power and worldwide recognition of Liverpool is strong.’

I have to agree with Thompson’s comments, although I believe it’s a great signing for Arsenal and a big disappointment for Liverpool, especially after losing Luis Suarez to Barcelona.

But although Arsenal are a big club they can’t equal Liverpool who have a massive global fan base and a remarkable history and tradition.

Sanchez will never be appreciated the way Anfield’s heroes have been over the years – and the departed Suarez will realise this too.

After a few years in the doldrums Liverpool seem to be back where they belong in the Champions League and challenging for the title and Sanchez has turned down the chance to be part of this exciting new era under Rodgers.

I think Sanchez has been tempted by the attraction of living in London instead of moving for footballing reasons to Liverpool.

Thompson is obviously butthurt and bias here, no question.

Surely someone is laughing his way to the bank. but will good business leads to continuity of success on the pitch?

Now on a side note, Arsenal and Chelsea in a bidding war for Khedira's service.

Established German national and Galacticos for the last 4 yrs. For 20mil.

And here we are talking about getting Bony for the same amount. I would like to know who the scouts are.

Not sure why everyone talks about Remy, Bony and Benzema when we can pounce on Cavani who has been playing outwide and would probably leave to play in center...
