Damn i was tempted by this phone already drool.gif

Which of you guys ever tested the battery based on your own usage? hmm.gif
*
this phone uses a 3100 mAh Li-Po (Lithium Polymer) battery. LiPo batteries known to hold charges longer.

Difference of Li Ion and Li Po batteries here:
http://www.buzzle.com/articles/lithium-ion...power-wars.html

Samsung and Xiaomi all their phones uses Li-Ion (lithium ion) battery (cheaper, yet faster to discharge). You can check out which phones uses what type of battery from GSM Arena: http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPho...8&idPhone2=6461

This phone, and iPhone 5S above and also some other Android phones uses Li-Po. I personally prefer Li-Po battery as I feel it lasts longer. Evidently when I started using this Honor 6 phone. I'm really impressed with the battery life. Maybe also because its ROM is pretty optimized and drains battery less.

It's a good phone overall. Get it if you can via VMALL (refer to Honor Malaysia FB page for sales dates) or get it via Digi Stores/Digi Express Stores for a slightly higher price. I got mine at Digi.. never regretting it coz it's an awesome phone yet affordable thumbup.gif

I was impressed when i saw one of u guys saying you have 5Hrs sot. That's nearly to G2 scores.

I was looking for a replacement for my G2, since im gonna give my G2 to my brother. Honor 6 in my toplist now.
*
wanna save more battery.. put on Airplane Mode when sleep... confirm save a lot.. that's what I always do laugh.gif

if i expect emergency calls from loved ones then will not switch that on la.. most of the time no .. so might as well switch off everything.. peace of mind also.

to preserve battery life don't make habit of charging once past 100%. always leaving phone on overcharge will definitely make battery life shorter.

get the phone la.. won't regret de.. ask us if you have any other doubts.

thanks for the verdict

what about mi4?
*
just get Honor 6 la. Mi4 by comparison isn't as good as this phone. this phone for MicroSD card, cheaper also.. imagine u add a 16gb kingston high speed microSD to this phone.. u already get 16+16GB.. enough to store everything inside. (videos and pictures takes the most space la.. songs also.. all can be stored in microSD.)

unless you're very particular on the body which is all metal for Mi4.. then u go buy Mi4 la.

in terms of processor this phone is better la.. it's an Octacore (Quad core + quad core = 8 core). Honor 6 is all plastic but it's a very solid plasticky body. u go Digi try hold it if don't believe. All plastic good is very light.. won't feel heavy in the pocket.

see comparisons here:
http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPho...8&idPhone2=6461

Any of you having problems with LTE? My phone is able to detect LTE, but no data transmission. Works fine on H+ though. All settings seem to be correct and my account is LTE enabled
*
call Digi >extension broadband.

I had similar issues like you also when first got the phone.. never see LTE signal before.

they will transfer to Level 2 team and try fix for you. For me after informing the incident the same day got liao.. very fast fix. Urm make sure your SIM card is supported LTE also la.. (new SIM card is black color one)

can anyone give review on performance and sample pictures? ur kindness is greatly appreciated.. thanks.

It is a good phone.. affordable, with latest specs, with SD card slot, and 3100 mAh battery.

What else can you ask for? Retail price of RM999? You can find no other phone in the market like it right now.

Only thing is plastic body.. if you cannot tahan plastic body then find another phone that is metal body (Mi4 recommended if you want similar price phone <-- but no SD card slot). However it is very solid.. much more solid than a Samsung phone due to its thickness.. Thick yet still light. thumbup.gif

for MicroSD card I use this... so my phone is 16GB + this high speed 16GB.. so far I recommend it been using it close to 1 year+ liao no issues.. solid card. This phone supports up to 64GB card so you can get bigger ones if you'd need more space: http://www.sandisk.com/products/memory-car.../?capacity=32GB

Hi guys, I am seriously considering buying a Honor 6 dual sim. I am wondering how it's battery fares as I have never used a Huawei phone.

What kind of battery life are you getting? Copy paste the text below and tick by using X in the boxes [].

I am a [] Light [X] Moderate [] Heavy User

[X] I use whatsapp every day. At times reading articles from Flipboard, checking emails. Seldom play games unless really nothing better to do/waiting for something.
[] I use waze every/most days.

Battery:
[] I need to recharge every night or it dies the next day.
[] I can usually last two days if I forget to recharge at night.
[X] I can usually use it for three days before needing to recharge. (2 and half days is more accurate, 3 days is with Ultra Battery mode switch on.. but usually I charge everyday at office, free electricity mah!)
* Please place an x in the relevant box.
*
This phone is worth it.. Dual SIM you must buy from other sources such as ebay, trusted sellers etc. Also pls check if LTE is supported for your carrier. Dual SIM is from China so its LTE bandwidth could be different from here/not compatible.

OR, just wait the dual sim version launch here... slim chance tho as demand for dual sim in Malaysia is not that high.

guys.. u got experience issues with pluggin in your phone via USB? It often asks to scan my SD card for problems.. each time after scan found no problems. Pretty annoying this pop up.. should i just ignore it? don't have such an issue with my Samsung S3 Mini last time... maybe it's how the phone handles the SD card differently each time it's plugged via USB?

another thing.. looking high and low for flip covers (the one with a hole in front to pick up calls easier).. yet can't seem to find any in physical shops.. u guys manage to find any good online sellers for Honor 6 flip covers?

got many selling online but dunno which is good:

My remote control app always crashes when using it for air-cond.. anyone facing same problem? I have reinstall and redownload the apk many times, still the same. I downloaded it from vmall club malaysia.
*
i tested it here and there with TV, aircond.. doesnt crash. guess only for that aircond brand you're using? you could try log a ticket to Huawei and see if they can help.

have you tried using it to remote control other devices? see if same thing happens?

I am facing the following problems with my Honor 6.

1) If I set background as white, I can see there’s yellowish at the bottom of the screen. Can it be fix or I need send warranty?
2) The virtual button wont hide away when I play games or watch movie with downloaded app. If watch with Huawei default player then it will hide away but play games it wont.
*
1) better ask for warranty repair/replacement
2) yea sometimes this happens to me too in certain games.. not much of a big deal. Hope they fix it in future patches.

no way u kenot get lte with celcom...
look like u still using old sim kad or if new sim kad, ur lte option is still disable at celcom...
*
yes LTE requires new SIM card.

if after getting new sim card also cannot then followup with Celcom helpdesk till 4G signal appears on your Honor 6.

My Celcom Sim Card is new type and already activated (sms confirmation from Celcom) but when i put it in, my device mentioned my sim card not support LTE.

As for Digi, i went to Digi and change the LTE Sim Card (black color). After putting in, same sim card not supported  blush.gif

By the way, currently you all using EMUI 2.3 or 3.0 ? It seems cannot be update manually.  icon_question.gif
*
tricky.. not sure whats the problem then..

Digi for China set sure can't use LTE. only Maxis and Celcom can... next try Maxis sim card LTE and see?

yours is H06-12. Malaysia set is H06-04.

EMUI 3.0 not yet launched for Honor 6. They say one day soon but duno when.

hard to say coz H06-02 also currently dont have any updates.

Maybe Honor 6 phones direct from China has a slightly different interface?

That is why online all great deal like Black Friday / Cyber Monday never gonna get these kind of customers because too much worry these and that, and Xiaomi / Huawei Honor / OnePlus Business model never work on these customers as well. Living in a third world country without proper online / eCommerce education, people always thought walk-in purchase is the best. I wish only Amazon are available in Malaysia. doh.gif

i've experienced order being delayed before that's why I'm saying this.

bought a watch and no news for 2 days.. I had to dig around in Google for the seller's LYN thread (manage to get his cell number) and chase him to send it over... lucky he did it on the 3rd day. Else it'll likely be a weekend that the order arrive and I'd have to drive to the not-so-near post office in Shah Alam (i stay in Kota Kemuning - got through a toll + 20 mins drive per way)

promise say "sent next business day once payment entered" end up he didn't even know I ordered till I whatsapp him! (good thing I ordered on Monday) And yea he had 400+ ppl listed him as "Safe seller" on lelong.my. So u calculate la how many days till I received my item... on Friday only safely reached my hands.

not my first time buying online... a couple of times.. but the above was the worse.. it plays on you psychologically + emotionally.

if you're a victim of someone truly not receiving an order (either their parcel just disappeared, or kena conned by seller etc).. that would be even worse. Once kena u will think many times again to order online. The more expensive the product, the more pain also.

real life experience is better than anyone's assurance out there..
