QUOTE(alien2003 @ Jun 24 2014, 09:30 PM) Apparently his price skyrocketed to 40mil Yeah I read about that, hopefully it is just a 'false alarm' because 40mil is really absurd for a player who is only turning 19 this year. If Soton outprice Shaw, they will have to deal with a 'unsettled' player for the rest of the season, something that they would want to avoid http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...ngland-ace.html QUOTE(Minecrafter @ Jun 24 2014, 10:20 PM) Amboi!! Sour grapes much. Hope you become a stellar superstar in Russia and in 4 years time joining the likes of Real Madrid / Barca as your agent claimed. QUOTE(Minecrafter @ Jun 24 2014, 10:49 PM) Anyway.. Don't trust DM too much, their journalist/editors are crap. Just take it as a pinch of salt lulz. I usually read Telegraph, they are more reliable. Broke the news of SAF retirement and Moyes getting sacked.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...al-signing.html Waiting for MUFC Twitter to officially announce it. |

Pool fans still assume they can get 80mil for Suarez after that incident. I highly doubt any club would offer more than 50mil for him because of his image, badly tarnished. Oh god.
Herrera manaaaaaa |

Since PSV are not going to renew Bakkali's contract, why not sign him and nurture him to become the next Edin Hazard?

Guys,
The Spanish league is different from other leagues. Based on what I've read yesterday, an article that sino provided..simple theory. 1) In Spain, the 'Buy Out' clause is not a 'release clause'. Every player in LFP has a 'buy out' clause and they are obligated to have one. The complicated part is when foreign clubs step in. The clause can be easily triggered by clubs within Spain, where Real Madrid can buy player A from Real Betis without any hassle. For the foreign clubs, they need to be 'approved' by the club itself. Meeting the clause does not guarantee a sale. 2) Bilbao is a Basque club. They are the 'people' club where they will only field BASQUE-BORN/Players because it is what they do. The reason why Bilbao is being stubborn is because they want Herrera to compensate them, it is not easy to find another Basque-born player as good as Herrera. So basically the player needs to fork out on his part too because no way United will pay more than the release clause. 3) Complicated? Hell yeah. This case is similar of Javi Martinez to Bayern Munich. Javi had to pay another 4mil (iirc) to 'free' himself from the contract. So Herrera's case is pretty similar. 4) Don't blame kayu this time. He has done a fantastic job (for once) by keeping the transfer under wraps, unlike last year. This part of the deal is beyond him, he has done everything beyond his power (paperwork etc) and now everything depends on Herrera and Bilbao. There is a willing buyer but not a willing seller. Lets just hope it will eventually fall through, complicated but yeah. This post has been edited by andrewtho: Jun 26 2014, 06:16 PM |

QUOTE(+Newbie+ @ Jun 26 2014, 08:14 PM) Not really subject to approval by club. More like approval by FA and tax regulators if they deem all proper paperwork, fees and taxes have been paid. The clause has not been tested in a court of law in Spain, but most clubs accept the clause in good faith with their players. Very complicated deal indeed. Could be other factors as well, could be tax, could be other 'fees' or AB refusing to let their player leave easily All clauses have gone through in the past, except for one case where the player was required to pay additional taxes. At least that's what I heard lar. Therefore, as long as United and the player both behave properly, the deal will likely go through. But my gut tells me that the deal will eventually go through. I respect Herrera. Last season when we were 'supposedly' bidding for him, he did not try to force his way out of the club, instead he played like a true professional, helping his club qualify for Europe. I think AB should acknowledge the fact that Herrera wants the deal to go through, and as a good employer, it is always good to allow your employees pursue for the better, allowing them to develop further for the best of both parties. |

Welcome to Manchester Ander Herrera!
Herrera pays the buyout clause QUOTE The Football League has certified Athletic Club that player Ander Herrera Agüera has fulfilled the requirements of the applicable regulations valid for unilateral termination of the employment contract that bound him to our Club, by depositing today the amount of compensation established in the contract. The Athletic Club thanks Ander Herrera for his dedication during the three seasons he has enjoyed the club and wishes him the best in his future sports projects. |
