Hey guys,

Need some advice here. I had 55% NCD on my previous car and transferred it to my current car. I took the panel insurer (Kurnia). Now my car is due for insurance and road tax renewal and I'm finding out the NCD is 0%. I have not made any claims in the past year so I'm stumped.

What do you think I should do?

Did u not get your NCD of 55% in your first year?. If you did, it would be reflected in your 2014 policy, then simply show your 2014 policy to Kurnia and ask them what went wrong...

If you did not get 55% NCD in your car insurance when you took your car first time then problem liao.
*
I got the NCD but it was delayed. They had to do some "processing" it seems. So I paid full sum, and once they got the confirmation of NCD from my previous insurer, they refunded the balance. Looks like they didn't update their systems.

i have the same issue as well ..
but till now i still not get my balance yet ...  rclxub.gif
tomorrow will try call to the insurance company and check ..
anyway is already 7 months ..  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif

Mine took about 3 months to get the balance back and they charged some administrative fee.
My issue now resolved. Their customer service said their systems reflected the correct NCD, so did an upload to ISM's database.

Your door panel have had opened ever ? If yes, I know the source..

I will post up the resolution to here once I fix it by own..
*
Nope. I've never opened before. Unless the tinting people opened it for some reason without my knowledge.
Please do share the fix if you have one. Will be nice to put an end of that incessant noise. smile.gif

Another new addition to my host of issues. This one was reported to Setia Alam on 16th January. I forgot to follow up. They as usual never bothered to call. Now waiting for clic to follow up on it.

Hi Guys. Just want to share my 408TE purchase experience.

I had a bad experience in some aspects purchasing the car. My Car was registered on 29/10 but I only got my car on 30/11. The reason:

- I have been liaising with the SA for almost 3 months before I purchased the car. I have informed the SA numerous times during the 3 months to ensure I get a new car with no defects. At least those defects that can been identified easily.

I am sure certain issues cannot be identified until the car is used. Based on the forum and information from other source, I had specifically informed the SA the 408 is common to have the windscreen peeling and so is the headlamps. I told him to make sure my car does not have such issues and to reject the car if allocated by HQ. Cutting the story short, the SA would have got an impression that I am very particular of the quality of the car.

He gave a good discount and he told me that the offer may end soon so I agreed him to register the car. He informed me that the car had been allocated to me and can be registered before the car came from HQ.

A few days later, he told me that the car has arrived and they found defects in the Windscreen and Headlamp and they will claim warranty. I went to see the car and it was dusty and very dirty. He informed me that it will washed and polished.

During this time I wrote to Peugeot HQ and requesting for a new car but no answer from them. Worst still the loan had been disbursed after registration.

The 2 items were replaced and I took the car on 30/11. I didn't notice much but after the first wash, I saw a lot of paint defects all over the car - swirl marks, water marks, sanding marks, burn marks, wax compound on the rubber trims.. etc.

I checked further and found the following defects:

a) Paint Defects as above
b) Rubber trims around the car were rusty and old
c) Dashboard had airbag cutline
d) The inner dashboard sticky
e) Seat belt holder broken
f) 2012 defective tires - Changed recently under warranty claim
I wrote 5 letters to Samson, Nasamudin and other bosses. All by courier. On my 3rd letter, I was assigned someone from Glenmarie, They checked the car and agreed with defects and promised to change all the items but the paint work was a little difficult and finally they agreed to repaint the whole car. And during this process of me continuously dealing with Glenmarie, the dealer never responded, only saying that HQ will address the problem.

I have been given an appointment with Glenmarie soon to rectify the above problems. I requested for a new car but was rejected.

In the meantime, I have filed a case with the Consumer Tribunal against the dealer and the case will be mentioned on 12/3/2015. My argument is the car should not have been allocated to me in the first place. It does not pass the test of a new car though the car is considered new by the dealer as it was not used before.

So now just wait and see what happens.

However, driving wise there has not been any issues other then the car was vibrating at 110km per hour. However, tires have been changed and balancing done.

The driving has been a pleasure so far.

I'm keen to know the results too. I had a bad experience despite buying from Naza. My car seat still shakes and they're saying it's normal and refusing to fix it. Soundproofing is all gone, again, same response.

I just sent in my car for the door stopper change. What do you mean from bad to worst? Do you check the warranty part before you let them do the work. I need to leave my car there for 3 days because my car needs to change the smelly car dash sponge. So, I didn't check any warranty new parts.
*
Bro, the smelly dash sponge, does it smell like a car tire. My cabin stinks of a rubberish tire like smell when left for a couple of hours. Same thing? Also what's the exact name of the part they replaced? I always have trouble explaining issues to Peugeot SC.

Yes. it smells like plastic. You can call to Penang SC because they have helped few customers fix it. I also request them to close the aircond flap and 80% of time won't smell the outside fume.
*
Awesome. I've been wondering what that smell was. It seems to be getting worse. Now I can smell it outside as soon as I open my car door. Will try to get this fixed by the folks at Setia Alam SC. Going there next week for service.

Hi all,

Any1 had issues with smelly aircon?,
Im having this issue of smelly aircon from day one, it become worse after pushing the car eg: driving above 170km/h. The smell is quite pungent, like burnt plastic and there is always a foul smell everytime i get in the car after leaving it under hot sun, is it caused by smelly sponge issue as what the previous post has discussed? Complained to our "friendly and effective" Glenmarie Sc Numerous times but, as usual, no response from them.Any1 had this issue previously? Pls assist...

Planning to go to either balakong Sc or Seremban sc for my next service onwards since Glenmarie Sc is way above my expectations when it comes regarding effectiveness and response.. Mesmerized by their service.. hehehehe.

I'm going to bring it up at Setia Alam SC tomorrow. Hopefully they're helpful and fix it. Will update here.

Hi all, Peugeot after Sales Service and maintenance service damn bad. My car was bang for 4 months ago and send to repaired in workshop, up to date, they cant event completely repair my car. I believe they don't have enough expertise and the staff turnover are high. I event cant imagine why they need to take such long time to repaired. SO disappointed.. So I don't suggest ppl going for Peugeot if u think to buy a new car.
*
I agree. Their service is horrendous and the vehicle quality is just as bad. I'm never buying another peugeot again.

Peugeot 4S Kajang will prove otherwise.

We're currently repairing a 5008 turbo (Out of warranty) with a solution cheaper than normal

We're repairing 2 accident cars which are mildly damage.

Warranty have been smooth so far.

For those who wanna know, same management team as Mazda 3S Sungai Besi. For those with Mazda who have tried our SC, will know what we meant by Excellent Customer Ownership experience.

My car just checked in to Setia Alam. 3 complaints for today.

1. All lights dimming when AC kicks in even while driving and accelerating.
2. Rubber smell in the cabin
3. Brakes intermittently not working. Pedal becomes hard but car not slowing down.

If these guys say no issue just like Glenmarie SC, I'll take you up on the challenge.

Disappointed yet again. They didn't fix any of the problems.
Their claims are as below.

1. All lights dimming when AC kicks in even while driving and accelerating. - They said they adjusted the lights and issue resolved. Issue is still there.

2. Rubber smell in the cabin - They claimed it was the rubber mat in the car and advised to replace the mat. I took the mat out and drove with the windows open for a bit. Still the same.

3. Brakes intermittently not working. Pedal becomes hard but car not slowing down. - They claimed to have bleed the brakes. Yet to validate as the issue is intermittent.

All in all....very disappointed yet again.
I took a day off to get this sorted because I don't have a second car to use for work and this is what I got from Peugeot. Now I need to wait for another suitable time to arrange an appointment at the new Kajang SC and pray that they don't do the same as the others.

Sigh......if Kajang SC also gives the same kind of service, then it'll be a definite sign to save money and buy another car.....leave the Peugeot camp for good.

1. All lights dimming when AC kicks in even while driving and accelerating. - Isit all the time and noticeable?

2. Rubber smell in the cabin - They need to rectified 1 by 1. Might suggest u to send to them and recheck.

3. Brakes intermittently not working. Pedal becomes hard but car not slowing down. - Its very hard for them to check with intermittent problem. How often the problem occurs??

1. All lights dimming when AC kicks in even while driving and accelerating. - Isit all the time and noticeable? - Yes and very clearly noticeable.

2. Rubber smell in the cabin - They need to rectified 1 by 1. Might suggest u to send to them and recheck. - I doubt they did anything to diagnose the issue. The rubber mat doesn't smell anything like the rubber smell. I'm gonna send it to another SC, this time without the rubber mat or any rubber stuff in the car. This is not the first time this SC gave me excuses instead of fixing the problem. My driver's seat still shakes. All they could say was the bolts and nuts are all tight. Typical "it's normal" diagnosis.

3. Brakes intermittently not working. Pedal becomes hard but car not slowing down. - Its very hard for them to check with intermittent problem. How often the problem occurs?? - This one I agree. Very rare but it has in more than one occasion almost resulted in an accident.

I understand that some of the issues faced are tough to diagnose,....I get it. But each time I send my car to the SC for complaints, all I get is excuses. Every Peugeot SC I've visited so far is the same.
