Just a point to add, remember to check the age of the tyre before accepting it. Sometimes tyre shops push very old stock at really low prices.

Bought 4 pieces of Michelin PS3 225/45/17 from Weng Heng Tayar.
RM 520 each. Made on 1419, 19th week of 14.

The only thing is the chamber nut. My chamber position was very bad. Changed the nut and made adjustment to chamber and alignment, i still feel my steering pull to the left =.=
*
Are you sure you needed to change the nut. It's mostly a scam in Malaysia. I changed the nut on my Vios before believing the tyre shop. When I finally found a copy of the service manual, I found out that the nuts originally fitted by Toyota didn't need replacement for adjustments to be made. Furthermore, unless there's a serious flaw in the design or your suspension is damaged, you don't usually need to adjust your camber. What I've learnt is the shops usually "tune" their machines to show a fake bad reading for your camber, then get you to pay for a camber nut to "adjust" it back.

How much did you pay for the nut? They charged me RM150 a piece when I got conned for my Vios.

Just my 2 cents.

Hi I am 2.0 na white .Do 2.0 guys facing gear box noise issue ? When I driving within speed 60 to 90 , there is "Yi" sound and very annoying. I had feedback to service center 9 months ago , but till now still cannot fix it . Please advise . Thanks
*
Mine has the same issue. I went for a drive with the technician and he pointed out that this is normal. He also said that at most, we'll just get a GB overhaul which will take a month.

Your gb is 8AT. This is a new gb,no reported problems other than slight jerks by some owners. The sound you mentioned is a symptom of impending failure. Try changing the ATF!

If SC does not want to do anything, then you have no choice to continue till it fails, then make a warranty claim.

I tried complaining at Glenmarie to no avail. My GB jerks a lot, especially when driving up hill.

My car just checked in for repairs and further diagnosis today. Estimated 2-3 days of hospitalization. The list this time is....

1. Faulty seat frame (replacement)
2. Rubbers on drivers side door (replacement)
3. Overall soundproofing failure (Diagnosis)
4. Jerky gearbox (Diagnosis)
5. Outside smells getting in (They said not to use "Auto" mode. It seems the auto mode occasionally opens the flaps to let outside air in. Instead, they recommended to manually control the fan speed)
6. Vibration noise from A pillar and dashboard
7. Noisy suspension with rattling noise

I'm hoping there will be some progress this time. I've already sent the car in 3 times for some of these issues. All to Glenmarie.

Today it took 40 minutes to check my car in and there was no parking there. I gave my car to an SC staff and he parked it somewhere in the SC. Many customers were in queue to be served by a service advisor. The guy behind the reception counter was a bit rude IMO. Naza has a long long way to go in terms of after sales service.

Just back from tyre alignment & balancing at Lim Tayar (Gombak). (can collect genting worldcard point here)

Usually I just do normal wheel balancing @ RM9/each

Today they recommend the road force wheel balancing @ RM25/each

Any one can comment on this kind of wheel balancing?

Wow, really major issues with your Pug. Let me know if they can fix #5 above, it's still unresolvable for me.

I don't have good experience with Glenmarie SC either. The reception counter has two folks - the guy lives in a dreamworld, while the girl just wants to brush you off as quickly as she can.

Does anyone from Naza actually read this forum? I still am not getting any answers from them since beginning July on the damages made to my car!
*
Haha....yeah...you're right about the reception counter folks. From my experience so far, don't wait for them. You have to keep pushing and chasing up. That's how I got the replacement for items 1 and 2 in my list. If I didn't, I'd still be sitting around waiting for something to happen. And if they say they'll call back, get a time frame. If they don't call you back within that time frame, its likely they won't call back at all. That has been my experience.

no liability == not bothered

Yeah. They're just not bothered at all. No one called me to let me know if my car has been fixed. I just called myself and the SA doesn't seem bothered. He said he'll check and call me back.

I'm just curious, has anyone ever filed a formal complaint on them?

Wanna hear a joke? After close to 3 months and having my car there since yesterday, they just realized they have the wrong parts for the seat. thumbup.gif

i'd a very stupid suggestion to fix the outside air smell problem

i use some tapes to cover the inlet of my other car

not bothered to open up the dashboard to add foam or sponge whistling.gif
*
Haha....MacGyver style. I read the manual and it does say that Auto mode will regulate the air circulation as well.
Only way to be sure is to test out not using Auto when I get my car back.

It won't work Newbie. I hardly use auto but outside smell still gets in, it's anoyying. Seems to me there's no real solution to this problem so I'll just live with it. No point complaining anymore.
*
I just got my car back yesterday and no real chance to test it. It is quite annoying that problem. Also, did anyone notice that if you place any food items that smells in the boot, the smell gets into the passenger compartment very fast and the smells are strong. Is there some kind of air intake in the boot?

Ya I've experienced before with 'liew-lian' biggrin.gif . I believe is air circulation in a close space. In fact a more pertinent question to you is, why do you place food in the boot in Malaysian weather? Wouldn't it spoil? blush.gif
*
Haha...good question. Its placed there for short term only. Whenever I pack food, I put it in the little compartment on the left in the boot to prevent it from moving around. Yesterday I placed KFC in the passenger cabin and it didn't smell quite as strong.....or maybe I'm just imagining things.

all peugeot will still allow a bit of outside air to get in. it is to ensure a bit of circulation even if you select recirculate. the idea works in europe but not that well here where our air stinks generally. but it is just something u will need to live with.
*
You're right. Even on without using Auto it still lets some in. Just gotta live with it I guess.

Trust me, you don't wanna go down that path. I just got my 408NA for 95k in Feb this year and Turbo is now going for 98k list price. Sakit hati man. I feel like I got screwed over by Naza.

Just like you.. I enjoyed driving my 2.0 up to CH recently.

Did you use Manual mode? I find my 2.0 is a bit slow on hill slopes, usually because the GB is using the highest possible gear.

No, I did not. I tried both mode while climbing towards Menora Tunnel for countless time, came to conclusion that the auto mode function just superb. The transmission was responsive enough. While climbing, when the engine start to lose power, the gear shifted downward and restore the power so that the speed can be stabilized. Yes, the speed was reduced because of the climb but only slightly. Thus, while climbing towards CH, auto mode was my choice and it did not let me down. Actually I'm a bit surprised when you wrote that the GB is using the highest possible gear because that's not what I'm experiencing with my 2.0.
*
Yeah. I'm pretty sure something is wrong with my GB. Just yesterday I was driving up a slightly inclined slope and it wouldn't downshift automatically. The car started slowing down, and when i pressed harder, it simply maintained speed....causing me to hold up traffic. This morning the RPM looked like it was accelerating but the car wasn't. A couple of seconds later the rpm dropped then it started accelerating. I gotta complain about this again when I send it in for the next round of repair.

Thanks. Today is my 4th letter sent to Nasim. I will follow up until the fix it. Quite  a number of cosmetic defects which i think sa missed since they gave me high discount.

But driving the car a pleasure. Feel very confident compared to Rush smile.gif
*
That line is for the airbag that's installed in the dash. The line should really be on the opposite side and I've never seen any other car with similar configuration having any line appearing, even on other makes. This is clearly a defective dashboard. I personally think the line was cut too deep during the manufacturing process so its showing on the other side. You should request for a new dash.

I also having with my 1 month old car. I thought is the glue leftover from the tinting film installation.
*
Leftover glue is a common problem and its difficult to remove. What worked for me was using baking soda. Just add some water and make it into a paste, then rub the paste in the affected area with a damp cloth. Use another clean damp cloth to clean it, dry it then check again. May need more than 1 round.
