Nothing wrong with having both if you can swing the RM50 fees. Amex Reserve for 5x TP for conversion, Amex Platinum on weekends for 5x TP and 5% cashback, VI for 2x TP and merchants that don't take Amex.

All depends on your expenditure though.

First year is free. Apply for it if you qualify, then cancel before the year is up. The free 10k TP per card is worth it for zero cost to you.

10k + 10k TPs in actual. ..
if apply for a supplementary card will get another 10k TPs

Have anyone use maybank amex to apply for amazon prime/purchases..? mine says problem with the amex card..is this normal...?

Call Maybank and make sure they're not blocking it for fraud. My friend has used his Maybank card before on Amazon. I personally use my Citibank.

Hi i just receive call from maybank offering the 2cards.The guy said now the GST is RM100 for this card starting yesterday.can anyone confirm on this.

I've gone thru the PDS dated today.. GST is now RM100 !! Lucky my GST paid 3 months ago

Yes, i just checked the their website, under product disclosure;

Government Service
Tax
 Principal : RM100 (for 2 principal cards)
 Supplementary : RM50 (each supplementary card)
Note: Service tax will be charged to your Card Account at the time when the card is issued, on
the anniversary date or upon renewal.


Too bad, i just want to apply for platinum one. looks like need to rethink again.

can they just cancel my visa so that the gst is only rm50? why should i be charged rm50 when i dont use my visa at all?

I want to potong my Maybank 2 Visa !All these while collecting dust and now have to pay some more !
