Damn, proton Iris 1.6 such fuel Guzzler engine, CVT  auto variant drink 7.4 petrol for 100 km.  (only 12- 13.33 km/ liter petrol) This is such most fuel guzzler car in small compact car segment.  shakehead.gif 1.6 litre unit developing 105 hp at 5,750 rpm and 150 Nm at 3,750 rpm way too underpowered. No thanks for this such UN-econimical car.  shakehead.gif

Axia produce 87Nm at 3600rpm very very underpower..
axia power to weight ratio is 61w/kg.
axia 0 to 100 make 15 sec... very2 slow..
Fc relates with vehicle performance because its a linear relationship.

Btw in your link also mention that proton pcc "combined NEDC cycle and 5.5 litres per 100 km at a constant 90 km/h" Which mean 18km/l.

For axia (in paultan) mentioned that "The 1KR-DE2 is mated to a five-speed manual (21.6 km/l NEDC combined cycle) and a four-speed auto (20.1 km/l)".

Read more: http://paultan.org/tags/perodua-axia/#ixzz3D4h4jWdm

If compare combine cycle, pcc lower by 2km/l only...

Yeah i got another car (4x4 hilux, aging kancil too old for long journey even motocycle). Now I will find another car mostly prefer a compact car good FC for some official works/ weekend car for watching movies with friends in Kota Kinabalu area because city way frustrated with traffic jam, narrow parking lot, bla bla bla.  vmad.gif  If Axia is good FC, I will buy one for the basic package and manual one.

And its not 5km/L different as mentioned by "harold2009" try hard to hide the fact.

And axia win for:
1. Performance 0-100 =15 sec.
2. Power to weight ratio =61watt/kg
3. Handling
4. Safety 4 star aseanNCAP
5. Cabin size.

Lol....

money cant buy life dude..

Both also underpowered, FC perodua claim at least or more than 20km/L and the cheapest price is offer for RM25K at least. If true, I will upfront 12K deposit and take 2 years loan for Rm660 monthly. Is okay for me because I use this car not drive so fast usually 80km/h or less. Maybe the engine is same as previous viva with little upgrade and maintenance costs not too much. (bomb and kidney) I want good FC to counter traffic jam issue and good for parking. proton price tag sell for at least RM 40K way too expensive for a compact car. Don't talk about how much ridiculous power the small car can perform especially NA one. I got mod my hilux 2.5 vnt single cab up to 225 HP and 480Nm torque. Damn scary to drive. Last week, (after from dyno tuning in 6/09/2014), I drove my cousin 3.2 ford ranger heavy modded 350HP 750NM torque and I bang to another saga at back in Inanam area and cost me RM600 to repair the opposite party damage. Luckily small accident and only need to change the rear bumper include pain job of that saga and the person I bang also nice/ polite and we settle in that day. And no damage for my cousin ranger due he use safari iron bumper. yeah this beast can go up from 0 to 120km/h only 7 to 8 second with 50% of throttle. The pick up speed which I like as same as a boeing 737-800er during take off from runway. (Yo melekat kerusi oo) brows.gif

Yeah, that's the point, now day in Malaysia people buying power decrease a lot, include me. Not only the car people search for most economic to use include FC, maintenance, monthly installment, tires, insurance etc. now days motocycle also offer fuel injection rather than old school carburetor due fuel consumption issue. Even house hold peripheral like air cond and refrigerator mostly consumer prefer energy saver like inverter tech due high electric tariff, same also for computers especially gaming desktop, now even the whole world seeking more energy friendly graphic card and processor due high usage in electric bills like GTX 750 with latest haswell CPU. Some of ours install solar panel for long term saving and move to LED device such lamps/ bulbs. sad.gif

For 2 - 5.... its not a problem at all just because the feature is there, and you under-utilised it. And its dumb also when those so called "problem" exist when go showroom and check the car out AND insist on getting it. And then complain stuff like "how come so much space behind?".

How do you define reliable? My Mawi has more problems than my Savvy during the 1st 4 years. Only the perception it's reliable. Just like Toyota.
