QUOTE(Doom @ Oct 20 2007, 05:07 AM) The sponge ur refers to are known as acoustic foam ... there's different type of such foam graded according to their capability of canceling noise ... Yes u could get those used in the car interior .. as long as not too thick that blocked ur case ventilation holes or causes difficulty in hardware installation .. icic.. do u know anyone selling here in lyn? btw 1cm thickness too think?? wat measurement consider thick? and wat thickness is necessary?

1cm isn't too thick ... as long as u have the clearance to apply it, then it's fine // However take consideration where u want apply the foam .. coz side panel usually have very small clearance so 1cm foam might not fit well ..
the thick foam could be used at the bottom or top of the case as well as the rom cage to absorb vibration.

You have to check the voltage needed at the terminals whether they correspond to the exixting ones, otherwise you might spoil the PSU or the divice and might be uneconomical to repair.
