Yup I saw the video so yeah. Using torch is better. I heard the hunter on top of clock tower let you join the covenant? How after he firing us mercilessly?
Ignore Djura if you want to ally him later. There are ways around the level where his shots will not hit you.
Personally, he was pissing me off with that cheap gattling gun, so I killed him irregardless... then again, he fell to his own death, so I didn't actually kill him.
Theres no covenant with Djura. He only gives you a gesture if u didnt kill him. U will still get the Powder Keg Badge even if u kill him. the badge allows you to buy Stake Driver and Riflespear
He stops shooting though, if you technically ally him by not killing him before defeating Paarl, right?
I read from other ppl, when you first enter Old Yharnam and you didnt kill anything, rush to BSB and kill it. Go back to Hunter's Dream and head to BSB's lamp. Run all the way back to Djura. He will be friendly.
If you killed any monster, like me, you will have to kill Paarl then only he will be friendly.
Ah.
Can you summon him like you could with Alfred and Gascoigne?
Wah.. So many already platinumed the game.. Easy ah to plat?
Comparing it to Demon Souls, it's significantly easier IMO. I didn't play much of Dark Souls, so I won't compare Bloodborne to that.
Problem with DS back then was the servers. I'm sure many here remembered when DS was not released in the US and EU yet, where servers were so limited only in Asia. There were numerous exploits for other people to invade you and kill you without even being able to fight back. Then there was the whole big glitch with the world tendancy mechanic in DS that wasn't fixed until after the release in the US/EU. Getting platinum back then for DS was extremely difficult.
Bloodborne... well, I wouldn't say it's a walk in the park. Certainly not easy, but I can't say it is impossible either. The fact that the game is so much more polished than DS makes it easier to play already. Now if FS would actually make co-op more accessible with a patch, I think Bloodborne will be significant easier to platinum even.
Well if u r playing without walkthru bb is easier. But if u follow a specific walkthru on the trophies website to me DeS is easier. Bosses in BB is tougher and The variety of ways they atk u is more than DeS is more (which is good means I have to get better at beating them) most of DeS bosses I can just magic or shoot them with my bow from afar.
As for dark souls i would put that as hardest of the bunch. Vast open world, multiple stuff to collect, unforgiving though memorable bosses, more environmental traps, etc. I wish they remaster this.
I played DeS when it first launched. So that means only those who played the game were the Japanese and some other parts of Asia. All the walkthroughs were in Jap or Mandarin, didn't understood a damn thing. Coupled with the fact that DeS probably had some of the worse in-game translation, didn't make things any easier too.
Yeah, bosses were a lot more single minded on DeS. It only took a couple of tries each boss to know their limited attack patterns.
Bsb was hard esp. With the poison ! But the damage is lower than VA, 1 swipe 2/3 of my hp gone...
I dotb really like fighting the giants... If made mistake very costly on vials...and there's this flamethrower grave keeper which I tend to avoid...
They have a weak spot on their chest area. If you use Ludwig's blade R2 in its 2-handed form, you will stun the giants. Alternatively, a well timed charged R2 from Kirkhammer just after a giant's overhead axe attack will stun them too. They're not difficult as they only have 1 attack pattern, 3 moves.
Yeah I do think BSB > VA. The poison attacks are seriously lethal, more so because most people who fought BSB for the first time does not have the poison resist rune found in Forbidden Woods. With the poison resist rune, BSB becomes pretty much a joke, you just have to watch out for its swiwpe attacks.

I am taking the other route now, I am farming through Hemwick Charnel Lane to get the Poison Resist amulet then only go and fight him.
I am also wondering bout stats, what do you all up? I add Vit, Endurance and Str. I thinking to forgo Vit for now, and pump all to STR to hit harder. They say the best defence is to be offence (explains why I died X number of times rushing into something I don't know)
Depends on what build you are going for? While it is true that all characters will eventually be the same at the max level of 544, getting there legitimately is damn near impossible. Set a meta for yourself, I personally cap my level to 135 and I'm a quality build guy. Right now my main is the Saw Cleaver and Ludwig Blade, in addition to the Stake Driver as a sub if I need more speed.
Vit 50 End 30 Str 50 Skill 30 Blood 12 Arc 10
It's also I think a matter of timing, depending if you want to coop or not. If you just plan on soloing everything, well feel free to go nuts with your stats. Once you hit the hardcap for all the attributes (around 240 I think?), it doesn't really matter much more after that.
Firstly thanks for spending time writing up a mini-stat guide for me. I am thinking of solo-ing at least 2 twice and then join co-op. As of now I think i am in the right direction, I would love to get the Ludwig Blade asap. I am using saw cleaver+3 currently, although I enjoy using the weapon i see the heavy axe has more stun/knockback which works really well against bosses/orges which is now main issue for me.. Lol
Thanks again all!
The saw cleaver just clicks with me, don't know why... but it just suits me so much personally. I can do anything with it, fight any type of enemies with it. I kinda wished the scaling is better on STR (B instead of C at +10) though.

My arcane build if any1 interested. Cruel Fate origin. SL96
Vit 30 End 30 Str 16 Skl 12 BT 5 Arc 50
Fire gem Ludwig/Tonitrus. Rosmarinus/Flamesprayer. Hunter tool: Executioner gloves.
6 shots of executioner gloves can total up to 3k dmg and it staggers plus homing. only draw back is that range kinda short. Ludwig is best elemental weapon already (good range + dmg).
Hot damn.
I know arcane builds were fun, your build is giving me the itch to try an arcane build too.
Me lvl66, my build is Vit 40, endurance 35, str 16, skill 12.
So... you don't have a main build then? Too much vit and endurance at your level IMO, but if your strat is to outlast enemies then I guess that's how it is.
anyone of u experience lag in old yharnam ? feel very laggy...
Everyone does. Old Yharnam and Forbidden Woods are the 2 areas where framerates go down to mid-20s, frame pacing is also jumping up and down 28-30 constantly. There will be a patch to improve this, but not sure when it'll come.

My game crashed on me in Byrgenwerth. Near the lamp, once I killed an insect, I was stuck and can't move. Restart multiple times but still the same results. Luckily I backed up just 2 days ago and didn't play much there.
Didn't happen for me, but I did see a few threads on Reddit complaining about this bug.
Guys, I found out that apparently.. if you have Lecture Building floor 1 and 2 unlocked in your Hunter's Dream tomb, you can actually teleport to LB floor 1 and retrieve your lost blood echoes in the event that you quit the game after you died once.
Example; if you died in Nightmare of Mensis with no lamp near by. But you do not want to go through those annoying Godheads to retrieve your echoes. All you have to do is exit the game to the main menu and then close the game from the PS4's home screen. After that, just start up the game again, go back to the Hunter's Dream and respawn at LB floor 1 lamp. Your blood echoes will be outside the room where the lamp is.
I have no idea if this is a bug or not, because this means that your echoes would not have disappeared upon exiting the game, it just means it has moved to another location (which... eerily, is the lecture building). I tested this and it works.
They need to give more than 1 blood rock in every NG+. So NG+ should 2 blood rocks, NG++ should have 3 and so on.
1 per playthrough is just retarded.
You can get 3 (at least so far) from Chalice dungeons (not counting hintertomb), but that's not even enough. Even if the argument is that a character can only use 4 weapons at a time.
lol. busted. that's the thing. Still felt guilty for being high level. NG+ easy to farm blood echoes though.
Well, FS fault for letting such an easy glitch go through QA. People will use it as they please. This is why PVP is broken (10 levels difference or not doesn't make much of a diff since HP is 30% less for invaders anyways) and it's also why there are several hundred miles more people who has platinum'd this game with ease (hats off to those that still did it legitimately though).
not really a big issue IMO. you may have all weapon +10. u still need skills to play. if you lvl SL too high, u will be alone. So there wont be a player overpower in terms of stats.
Not in terms of stats, no. Interms of weapons. I've seen people at level 50s but having +9 weapons invading those of which at the same level but they only have +6 weapons. See the issue here in PVPing?

Lol glitch does not help or ease platinum. And u don't need multiple playthru to plat. So I complete the game at Lvl 45 basically still using only one weapon. Does that count as legit?
Glitch makes the game easier = game is easier to plat. Sure you can be disciplined and limit yourself to the usage of the dupe glitch which I believe is what you did. Wasn't doubting your legitimacy though, never did crossed my mind that you'd cheat to win.
My comment was directed at others who has duped themselves to the absolute limit, plat the game, then go show off like they won the World Cup.

Beat Amygdala...it was easier than expected. I didn't feel satisfaction beating it though. It was my 2nd try and I would have made it the first round but got careless. I got more annoyed at trying to hit the arms and the whole camera screw.
Amygdala isn't too hard, especially if you have defeated Ebrietas before you did Amygdala. Now, Ebrietas is a whole other level of bs. Not sure why I had so much trouble with her.
