hi sifus, simple question: nexus 5 or oneplus one better?
*
What's your preferences ? How you want to use the phone ?

My 2 cents :
For overall user, OnePlus One is great buy
large screen
large battery
really good price

If you aim for
smoothest phone
fastest update to Android version
best custom ROM support

with price range between RM1100-1400, there are quite an option out there, all down to what you are looking to get out of the phone, battery life? Bigger screen? Better spec? Better camera? Latest android update?... List down and hopefully it helps you to make the right choice.

Nexus 5 is made by Google, manufacture by LG.
Android is owned by Google.

You make the decision.

Fast Update : its CyanogenMod
Smoothness check this review from one of the top N5 kernel developer Francisco Franco and he is developing kernel for OnePlusOne.

#Android

My +OnePlus device just arrived. These are my first impressions:

- holy f***, the packaging is amazing. Probably the best package I've ever seen in a mobile device, better than the iPhone to be honest. And this is a 300 dollar device, wtf?
- the build quality of the device... I'm in awe how a 300 dollar phone feels so good. This sandstone black material is something I've never experienced before, and it screams premium all over it. The display, oh my. Quality wise it's in the same league as the One M8 and the Nexus 5, but it's better calibrated, thanks to +Francois@Cyanogen Inc. !
- it's probably the fastest/smoothest Android experience I've ever had, I cannot stress enough how amazing it feels moving between apps.
- the camera is amazing, the quality is the best I've had in a mobile device
- the camera app is really good, I like +CyanogenMod 's approach.
- 300 dollar device in a 700 dollar hardware/package...

The wait is worth it, it's most likely the best Android experience I've had to date.

problem is how to get invitation to buy blink.gif

1+1 is a great phone. I would say specs-wise better than Nexus 5.
Battery wise, 1+1 is better (3100 vs 2300 mAh) and built on CM kernel.

I'm sure you can google reviews and comparison of 1+1 with N5 so I'll give my 2 cents in development:
Development POV:
1+1 OS is android source built from Cyanogenmod, so this tells me it's CAF.
Nexus 5 is purely AOSP from Google. So it can either flash AOSP rom/kernels or CAF rom/kernels.
I have long abandon the CAF way tongue.gif
Updates from Google, Nexus 5 will always receive it first. Then the CM team will start to rollout to 1+1 when they merge new sources to their build.

What is so bad about CAF? Can you explain in simple non developer way. This is Purely a question not debating who's the best.
