It's push/sync from server side to user. However there's trick to enabled it if you havent had it.
Just use search app and performed text search on 'Ok Google everywhere' and it's done. Go to search setting and enable the options.

Screen off suppose to work only while charging. Just like how latest SIRI works, only while charging.

hey guys.. currently, i using 4s.. want to change to new phone d.. i did my studies and nexus 5 (and also moto g) caught my eye.. everything about nexus 5 is good to me, but the battery life is bad based on what i read lah.. i just want to know is the battery life of nexus 5 same with or better than 4s?..

my current routine with 4s is, i rarely online using cellular because work at office got internet on my computer and at home also got wifi.. but when i go lepak at mamak or somewhere which no wifi available, i turn on 3g, fuhh makan bateri like 1 day puasa no makan..

Dont be fooled by what others say
You will have much more battery life on the N5 compared to any iphones
Just root it and even you keep stock rom but flash a different kernel gives you superb battery life

Most of us who said it's not good, was refer not as good as Note or those with 3000+mAh. Depend usage, Nexus 5 able to last one whole day. Your scenario of no data usage at office and home meant you can goes almost 2 days battery life. With heavy usage like continuous gaming/video, definitely can last you at mamak till butt hurt or eye pain

Definitely can last a day since you seldom turn on cellular data. 2 hours ++ SOT is not a problem in stock rom with wifi ON.

With rooted and custom kernel, you can get 4hours SOT (max for me) with wifi ON. =)

Even on stock, N5 should be able to last whole day without data (depends on your usage)
Suggestion to root and flash custom kernel will definitely boost N5 performance and battery life.

sometimes if i online (social networking+games) during one-hour lunch, takes almost 40%-50% battery.. dem.. i not sure if that is normal or not anymore..

Well, depends on what kind of games you play as well. Those high graphics/cpu surely will consume more.
Even I on data (mix H+ and 2G), can roughly get 2 hours SOT (from work 9am-5/6pm), that is if with normal usage without gaming, by that time battery will be around 20% (go home charge).

Last time my friend's girlfriend's 4S need to charge twice per day, reach 30% by noon, heavy whatsapp/SMS user. Last time when I still synced company email, need recharge after lunch with heavy web surfing, while iphone4/4S colleague always charging their phone whenever near PC , iphone5 seems to be better.
All in all, Nexus 5 will be better than 4S in terms of battery life.

LOL! It's true though. Their battery also can last whole day. Normal usage la.
Yeap, games depends. Played before games stress cpu & gpu kaw kaw until my phone auto shutdown
UV and thermal control helps actually

ya la... i saw that situation and i was like "bang need PB meh... if forgot cas to 100% then use powerbank dah cukup la.. haha" them

but highest GPU load in the games that i test, Asphalt..

mine can last whole working day without any charge network set to 2G as i only need whatsapp for work, SOT around 3.5 to 4.5 hr but nowdays CoC more so had to carry a Mi pb just to make those at my workplace who can't buy it jelly.

Maybe they are already get used to it. I did but now i dont. I get irritated now lel. Even i online facebook only also drain so much, not to mention when i use Safari. I've been using my 4s almost 1 1/2 years. Time to change la i think. Haha
