Altho I like lichti - sometime just flash to test - but I want the non intrusive mode dialer.
Does the latest version have it? Save me sometime to flash and to find out its not there |

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Jun 25 2014, 10:53 PM) Paging Nexus 5 user to answer. I just kacau around one But my suggestion is... Since you already got TWRP, you might as well just find one 4.4.4 ROM from xda to flash. QUOTE(kllam @ Jun 25 2014, 10:57 PM) QUOTE(Najmods @ Jun 25 2014, 11:04 PM) Download the flashable ZIP (100% stock if you want, but the lean one is good too) here. Follow instruction there, you can dirty flash (no wiping anything). It should work How do I switch back to stock recovery instead of TWRP? I'm lazy to experiment a lot liao, just want to OTA official ROms should be enough for me |

Hi guys, Pressy is here. All existing buyers have been notified by PM.
Personal usage - Pressy is so small! But it works as intended. Will be better if they allow more pattern to activate the function. Hope you will enjoy yours! |

Ok guy, after 3 days of Android L usage. Maybe its time for me to do some review on it. I will do the review in both pros and cons and then conclude it.
So as for the Pros. The interface is great, the keyboard is awesome, and the new dialer is FANTASTIC. I have updated to the new Android L radio as well and everything seems fine. Phone call, asnwer, Viber, skype, SMS, whatsapp, EVERYTHING works just fine. Upon power up, you have that new lockscreen, left to camera, right to dialer and up to unlock. Need some time to get use to it since I always swipe left during my kitkat time. But after some hour of playing, i would say i love this new lockscreen more. (more intuitive). Next is the animation of the overall UI, firing apps, closing apps, calling someone, all the animation seems much more heavier than kitkat but it is much more smooth to me as well. I had turn on developer mode and change those animation to x.5 so maybe that helps a bit Next thing to like about is the pull down notification from the statusbar. Someone might complaint that the first pulldown dont show date. but here is one trick i figured out. Pull down further to show the date and if you release your finger. it will stay on on the "first level" pulldown. but if u slight longer down for the date and u push back up, or you can call it push back in, you can close all the notification all together. Usually i dont swipe for the second level for the tile function, i will just swipe once down and then tap to open the second level. Battery saver is cool enuf, it did not off any of your networking but just to underclock your processor and all. I understand that in kitkat, maybe custom rom can do that, but i think that having this feature for stock user cool. currently I am setting at 20% for auto activation and it just function very well. Wifi Tethering work if you change password for one time. Battery is very good. When I say good i cannot be so sure with it. Currently it is better than in kitkat but maybe one reason is that i did a clean install, thats why no "dirty" apps causing battery drain. But in contrast of that, i do not have greenify install in Android L, it wont work neither. Oh ya, I did root for this L and i changed DPI to 405 and everything works fine. One more thing that noticeably improved is the video and audio of video recording using the stock google camera app. The sound is so much better. I notice this the first time i record because i use to record a lot of myself playing acoustic guitar and singing. NFC works great with my panasonic lumix camera. Next is the cons, as for cons, the major thing that currently in this preview is the camera app. The HDR+ mode is very very slow. As I said again, this is only in preview so we do not expect it to work perfectly. PLUS google announced that there are new API for camera. Burst mode, better image quality, faster focus, everything is coming soon. So for now, I just have to live with the slow HDR+ mode. Another downside of this in my daily usage is QuickPic apps, it can be use but it LAGS a lot in the MAIN album page. But as soon i open up one of the album (even album with 2000 images), it just run smooth. So the alternative I found is to use F-stop gallery, which have the feature i want in quickpic and scroll perfectly smooth. Facebook is not yet update to cope with L, so when you comment, the comment layout box is transparent which make me hard to read, but that is just a small matter. Auto brightness trigger is not on the pulldown, which i dont think is a good idea. Last but not least the recent menu. Previously the recent menu can see about 4-5 apps in a very tidy way. But now google change it into a card sliding UI which only allow merely a 3 apps at one time to view of. And it seems very very messy. I hope google can tidy up the recent menu a little bit before the full release. So to conclude this, I am using it for 3 days and for my usage, it is my DAILY DRIVER. I repeat, this is MY DAILY DRIVER now. It is applicable for me because almost 98% of the apps i need works and GPS, clock, phone call, everything WORKS just like a full release. But for those who need apps that dont work with L now, I advise that you get back to KITKAT for stability. Another thing that I want to use this as my daily drive because I would like to anticipate of all the changes from now to the full release, from there I can learn more about android. |

QUOTE(kuance @ Jun 30 2014, 11:39 AM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Not to mention it's actual purpose to have these scrollable tabs is cause google actually intended to display webpage tabs from google chrome as well. It will be even messier than it is right now I personally use recent tab alot to go into my recently used apps and even the current one that we have in kitkat is just so-so. I was hoping that they would make it simpler and more efficient for better and faster multitasking. |
