Hi guys,
I know that maybe there are some topics regarding Fender Telecasters in this section but still, I would like to dedicate this topic to the Almighty Telecaster(other shapes are quite invincible too but oh well, we're talking about Telecaster here!)
My favourite Tele of all time is the Fender Japan TC72 Telecaster Custom with Maple Fretboard.
It comes with a neck humbucker pickup and single-coiled bridge pickup. Love the feel and craftsmanship of MIJ Fender although they could do a little something about the sound(lets say, better pickups and electronics?).
Well, thats my part!
Lets see what others think about Fender Teles?
IMO: Fender teles can be good metal axes, Tom Morello used them for the raging riffs of RATM xD
Peace! thumbup.gif

Exactly! This is the reason why I'm in love with teles!
They are versatile, they look good, we look good with them xD
Great photos btw.
Stephen Carpenter did a great job of transforming tele into a tool for metal riffing.

technically if one messes that much with a guitar (put hot pups, FR etc etc), all guitars are versatile.

this thread is fail without a blackguard

Yea.
Apparently, the americans kept the secret juice to themselves.
God knows what could happen to the americans when their japanese partner manages to dig the secret recipe out xD

i have an MIJ strat that is unbeaten since i bought it.

the prb with jap stuff IMHO is not the electronics, but they dont distinguish "standard models" and upper end models.

I really like the quality of MIJ guitars. Top notch craftsmanship.
Got an Edwards Akira sig and a fender tc72 here. Both of them are awesome axes.

Anyways, you one of the few who stated the product class problem in jap stuff. One uncle used to mention this to me and he proved it by using the Edwards and ESP comparison. Not sure why the japs blur the line between standard and upper end stuff @.@

I am a TELE Fan...and own 3 TELE's.

After trying a MIA Tele.... I stopped playing my MIA Strat for many years d. The Tele is a lot more powerful and very versatile. It made my 1997 Custom Shop American Classic Strat sound so like a whimp!

Mind you.... this is not the common MIA Strat... but a high end Custom Shop Strat...yet the common MIA Tele made mincemeat out of it.
