4.4.2 download link is corrupted . don't register as it has malwares!! i don't think its available for us

I'm having a few problems with my Note 2 after updating to Kit Kat.
Did you guys face the same issue?

1) Clock at lock screen doesn't update:

2) Typing on keyboard but on screen didn't show anything.

3) Lastly, is the random black screen...when pressing 'Home' button or any button, the 'Back' and 'Menu' button lights up but the screen is still black.

Any solution for the problems above? Thanks in advance! 

i bought the sketchbook during sales. looks about the same...

so, if i go back to stock rom, i'd just reinstall from Play.

i wonder if Phoenix rom is also just as 'buggy'. if this is what custom rom is all about... yucks. too buggy for my taste. buggy here dun really mean FC, but i'd think at least it should have been 'packaged nicely'.

What is custom ROM all about actually.
It doesn't give significant differences with the stock ROM.
If want custom for the sake of theme then go download launchers from app store.
If your phone is laggy and battery weak,custom ROM won't make much difference.
Just upgrade your phone when the time comes and save yourself from all the headache and problems this custom ROMs are giving unless u are a tech wiz  who has time or an expert.

some feedback will be greatly appreciated. maybe you can also see what i commented about the earlier version and see if it still applies -- like the air gesture thingy. it's there but not supported.

also, i was sharing on XDA... i the 1+ week i've been using the ROM, twice i experienced the phone lag like crazy... pull down notification... takes a few seconds for the notification panel to come down... and even then... a few more seconds for the images/ text to appear. scroll between home screen pages also got problem. press + hold home button to get recent task and then task manager also took like a long time... more than 10 seconds. but task manager didn't show anything unusual.

last time it happened was earlier this morning. i left it for 10 minutes, then tried again. still can't... so ended up just rebooting the phone.

good job bro ...hows the battery life and lagness?

personally, i dun need all those frills. plus, now knowing that stuff like air gestures don't work... really not sure what else can i expect from custom rom.

and the way things go, seems like i dun think i like DN3v5+ LITE. it caused my phone to lag again over the weekend. the same lag that totally can't let you do anything else other than restart phone. that's 3 times in about 3 weeks.

not what i will call stable ROM. i guess i'm going to flash another ROM soon.

Don't have problem with lag either in v5+ or v5.2.  For me, it's stable and I'm using the kernel that came with v5.2.

anyone trying towelroot? success? any problem?

My wife is using the SGN2 with JB, not sure is 4.1.2 or 4.2.2. And I plan to update her SGN2 to the latest KK 4.4.2 MY rom via OTA.

But before I do that, there are few things I need to clarify.

1. Will the Knox be implement once updated to KK 4.4.2?

2. If Knox is implemented, I assume it will work similar like the SGN3, which means we can't flash custom kernels, recovery, roms in order to keep the Knox flag 0x0?

3. If the Knox is not coming together with the KK 4.4.2 MY rom, meaning we can still root the device and install custom recovery like usual, then reset the counters by using Triangle Away?

4. So far, any SGN2 user with KK 4.4.2 MY rom successfully rooted with Towelroot?

5. Once we are in KK 4.4.2 MY rom, can we still move the apps into the external SDcard?

I hope some fellow sifus can enlighten me, so that I won't screw up my wife SNG2...

My wife SGN2 still under warranty, so I tried not to mess around until the warranty is over. Plus she basically use the SGN2 like an IP. 

Just that recently there is a root method "towelroot" which can root KK without trigger the Knox, so I thought wanted to root for her and install Xposed Framework with some modules to fresh up the look of her SGN2.

Not planning to flash any custom rom for her since she is not fancy of that.

The Kitkat SD Fix need root access right? By installing this app, it will allow all, if not most of the 3rd party apps to move into the external sdcard?

Galaxy note 2 still a decent beast for daily use... if no SDS, I don't find a reason to change it...unless I am a gadget lover and always chasing new technology...or wait until one day too slow and can't support apps and games then might consider change phone

Used note 2 for 3 years considered very good cos i know a lot of people SDS after one year... i pray my note 2 can last longer as urs... now approaching one year...

I found that reading microsd speed is not fast enough if i have more than 1000 photos in it...is it because sandisk microsd card only has 30 mbp/s ? I should buy better one last time like Samsung gold microsd which has 50 mbs/s if no mistaken... now regret

the spec is still kick ass and the Exynos is doing its good job. Plus is really worth getting a flagship phone as many active developers out there. I still keep my Motorola Razr Maxx as the developers are still very active, no doubt a legend flagship

I got mine manufactured december 2012, so does it mean mine also carry the SDS affected chip? how to avoid SDS? I do a lot of rom flashing. Scare later half way GG  Thanks!
