Hi geng I ran across an earlier post regarding Diacetyl in e liquid.. Can someone enlighten me more regarding this? I'm very concerned about my health. Does this mean every buttery/custard flavors have diacetyl in their liquid? This includes creamy flavors also?

Do you seriously want to know? Because this is not a road you can back out of once you've gone through it.

Well, the short answer: YES. Even if brewers SAY they don't mix in Diacetyl, some flavors (anything buttery, milky or rich - except for a few flavors) already has it (or something that turns INTO it) inside and there is no way you can extract it out.

The long answer: Go to The Flavor Apperentice and read up on the flavors there. They list down EVERY flavor that has *wierd* stuff in it for inhalation, so you get a general idea of what is ok (comparatively - we actually don't know HOW ok is ok to begin with) and what is not.

You'll be surprised. For instance, there are some creamy stuff that is actually OK, and some FRUITS that are not.

Also read up the special section that the TFA guy has got on the issue (he's a chemist so he's pretty qualified), it explains in detail about the issue and is frequently updated.

But, in the end, it's really up to you. The amount of exposure you HAVE to get to get the so called "Popcorn Lungs" (acute bronchitis) is apparently VERY HIGH - something like HEAVILY vaping thick extra buttery butterscotch flavored liquid daily for 10-20 years.

Besides, there's no real solid research telling us that vaping Diacetyl WILL for sure give you complications - or that everything else is safe in the long term either.

Just don't forget that anything has gotta be a helluva lot better than the 4k deadly chemicals you have in cigarettes that WILL kill you. FOR SURE.

BTW: I found a small vape stall in the Little India building behind East Coast Mall, thankfully.

Awhh man, this just turned me off.. the main reason why i switched to vaping is for my health. I like creamy flavors but im not into butterscotch or custard. Hmm
