even it got line problem..bad reception..
i still dun wan to sell it..
coz i noe..the bass speaker can blow me up for being my alarm..

i'm still using e398 as my secondary phone. xlolx

mine's got no sound. both loudspeakers and speakerphone.
i suspect it was software/firmware problem. never mind that, i will try to hack e398 myself.

my n78 speaker quality was very far far away from this phone

i miss my e398..dead already..masuk air then short-circuited i think

ironicly though, the E398 section in MotoHell is a lot more active than the more recent models lol..

hmm...no matter how many yaers passed...i'm going to remember this phone.yeah....the phone that never die.btw,this is the only phone that i vcan fix it by myself...huhuu

not using e398 now. Use ZN5 .. haha.

but still use e398 to play games, songs, modding fun.

and my family still keep few units of this phone. cause ............................................. .......................................................... .............. my father want to use it.

He will upsad when change to other model. Just tested last week when his e398 can't function properly. Now wait me to fix the phone during raya holiday. just need to mod it or hand over my e398 for him.

i've sold my e398 two years ago, was still in very good condition 95% scratchless...what a nice phone with a pair of great speaker...

all together still got 3 units e398 functioning .

... and 1 extra faulty unit as backup cover and keypad LOL

this is a great phone, still have 1 myselkf, but the batt kong.
plus it cant charge anymore, usual problem with this phone.
its a great fully moddable phone, i love to mod it, the resource,
tutorial, even MP is still got new one till today~!

well, unlike my v360 which is alive and kicking, modded,
but tutorial and resource on it is as good as none, i just use
my past xp on e398 to gamble and flash v360. lucky it works!
but i still cant get itunes to install and work in v360.. E398, i love u~

E398 is one of the last great phone from Motorola before they went into diet craze and end up screwing up the feature hunger by the consumers.

Just back from hometown.


My father's e398 no problem at all . He can't use it because ..... he press "YES" when he switch on the phone and ask "Do you want to on the Air Plane Mode"


after press YES , Air Plane mode all the way sure can't make/ received call


So i save my time no need to do modding or service the phone

A classic always remains a classic.



my E398 beside my current ROKR E2.

currently using my E398 for entertainment for the whole gang during mtb rides! 2 hrs continous burn time for a 4 year old battery ain't bad! haha!

my cousin one died off hahahaa , man i miss this phone .

actually, i also have this phone with me... never plan to sell or to put 'em on the bin.. it's still a great phone.. anything update on 'em? i'm too lazy to search around for what happen to this great mod phone...

mine e398 is still here, but got no sounds, rhythms light settings (it stated none), speakerphone cannot here.
i think it's not the hardware, it's the software problem. can anyone teach me how to turn back my e398 to normal? like a reflash or whatever?

planning to use it as 2ndary fon.
