im in the process of reviving a dead e398. now its alive again but still got 'no network' problem. this 1 is a tough 1 indeed...

so, the 'no network' problem has been solved?

yup already solved. i repair back the pds then restore a full r372 backup. then make few changes in the gsm gainvalue. now its working with TurboZ monsterpack. the motospeed settings really speed things up...

the only downside with TurboZ is that the flashlight thing. when we sms we always press the # button to change from text to numbers to symbol. so flashlight will be activated accidentaly. nid 2 remap the key press to something else then...

you can use p2ktools to find and transfer it to your pc...

it should be in the same audio folder. then look under the vavr folder. i think the extension is .vr if im not mistaken... its not recommended if u wanna make it as ringtones, its better 2 do this way...

1. create new multimedia message
2. insert voice record
3. record it then insert into message
4. send message to random number (fake)
5. go to outbox
6. open the sent message just now
7. the voice recorded just now shud be there, save it into phone
8. dont forget 2 put the mp3 extension

try it & let me know if it works...

its not that hard actually... important thing is u must read a lot and understand everything b4 continue 2 mod. rule no 1 - always make a backup of the fon, becos it'll save u lot of time later
