can semi-syn 10w40 engine oil run for 10k distance? or should I change to 5w40 full syn if wanna do service at 10k interval?

also any semi syn can put 1% synthetic base stock and call it semi when 99% is just mineral base stock.
pretty much why they just don't last beyond 4-7k km depending on which semi syn you bought.

how to check the leakage?
how to add brake fluid? need to go to SC or any normal car workshop can do? void warranty or not if add brake fluid outside of SC?

Thanks for the info on the canister purge valve.
After doing some research in the internet, this is also a common faulty part along with the IAFM.
Apparently i saw one which says this is the culprit which causes the IAFM to kaput.
I will change it this Saturday

speaking of brake pads and brake fluid... today. on the way to teluk intan from seri kembangan. from puncak jalil till kapar(using old road) the brake of my front RHS is screeching... annoyed. I got to a car shop (random shop) change the brake pad. Shocked at 35k my brake pad had gone to the metal signalling brake pad finished. sad. so early my brake pad need to change... changed to dunno what brand rm80. expensive or not?

Anyone here replace the gasket? is there recommended to replace currently about 70K, seems oil leak around the head gasket. In fact, nothing new, been notice even before end of warranty, just the SC said was not covered, so just leave it until now.

Recently service, the technician show me and ask to replace or not?
Top Gasket was cheap about RM80, bottom part also sign of leak, again not serious until engine oil drop on the floor. Bottom one about RM120, and need almost half day to do it.

Should go for it? If just leave it any harm? My observation was, the little oil make the dust stick on it, so look dirty only.

Not serious, just can see the dust accumulate there. Not really notice the oil.

Was 3rd year + now, mileage 70K, still about the same. If not really harm, just drag, maybe can last few more years.

When google up, can see few blog, they DIY change the Gasket and glue back themselves.

Btw, for those after 60K, please counter check your Engine Belt (Not Timing Belt) for Water Pump, Air Con & etc. Mine notice some crack, and already change it.

Both also I didn't plan to DIY. Don't want take any risk, as I'm not expert in this area.

Ya, bottom they told me need to dismantle a lot of part, and even glue it back also have to double check make sure everything was in order, and no leak.

For me there is another risk of getting worse!

If really worry, then wipe clean and keep jalan for another 5 to 10K, see how bad is the leak. If still same, only dry dust, not wet with no detectable reduction in engine oil, I'll just leave it.

Yes, different design, I found it is difficult to wash the inner side due to the disk brake and tyre gap is very small.
