Yeah it went well for me - icloud.

But how do we back up to icloud with ios8? Still not used it ios 8
Btw I notice when I do selfie, there seem to be a 'frame' surrounding the picture unlilke the rear camera.

Is it normal or there is a setting

If you have iCloud enabled, iCloud will do a backup automatically. I'm not sure the time frame for each backup. Probably weekly.

You can check it by go to Settings -- iCloud -- Manage storage. Everything that related to backup is there for you to explore.

Or if you prefer to do it using iTunes, just connect your iPhone to iTunes and there will be an option for you to execute backup.

You can read more from this link

Regarding the camera, was it because of the Square setting you selected when you took selfie? hmm.gif

Could you post screenshot on how the frame looks like?

1. i remember last time ios7, we can choose when to back up. sometimes at the contact, we can manually back up to icloud one

2. if by video, can see whole screen. if by photo whether rear or front camera, the picture is 'smaller' compared to video

1. Settings > iCloud > Backup > On > Backup Now

2. The picture is smaller but you're seeing more of the frame compared to when shooting a video. I think there's some sort of camera stabilization algorithm going on when you shoot a video. For the video to be programmatically stabilized Apple needs to crop off a certain area of the video.
It works like this I suppose: http://www.theverge.com/2014/10/13/6969113...e-stabilization

Im alright here with ip5, is just that the battery hogging is still quite a problem to me, compared to ios 7.

But just dunno why after the ios 8.1.1 update, the setting keep asking me to re-enter password for icloud verification. After a few re-enter password is okay edy but didn't happen before
