You can consider the Canon EOS M Twin lens kit (18-55mm +22mm) RM 1488 only

QUOTE(darkbaby91 @ Jun 2 2014, 11:48 PM) Wow so you are saying that mirrorless could capture the same quality images as DSLR? dang, this really makes me confused. hahaha For the Fuji X, sensor is APS-C same as most DSLR (except the full frames). The Fuji sensor does not have a bayer filter in front of the sensor, so the image is sharper. With regards to Canon S100, yes point and shoot but you put Rm 1500 figure. If you don't care too much about changing lens and bokeh, I would say the S100 is an all around pretty good camera. |

QUOTE(darkbaby91 @ Jun 2 2014, 03:56 PM) Hello guys, I's not sure whether this is a correct thread to ask this. When it comes to interchangeable lens cameras be it dslr or mirrorless, you should really be looking into the lens available rather than just the above. If you're spending only RM1.5K, this most likely means you'll be shooting with the kit zoom lens. Most are decent in good lighting conditions but other than that, you might find it wanting.Between mirrorless and DSLR, which one is the best in term of : 1)Ergonomic (Big body is tougher and better?) 2)Picture quality( Will focal length affects picture quality?) 3)Long term usage (future proof or not?) 4)Ability to fit several occassions (weddings, jungle, etc) I've read several blogs but I'm still clueless on which camera should I get since most of the blogs did not state clear conclusions on which camera is better. Used to own a DSLR (Canon 1100D) but not mirrorless so I do not know bout its picture quality. Some of the blog stated that mirrorless is for people who want style over quality which means its small and compact size are the main characteristics that they are looking for. So, I really hope that someone could give me some advice regarding which camera is better. To be honest, I will just invest not more than rm1500 as a kickstart for my baby camera. Your help is much appreciated. Thank you in advance. Like someone else suggested, the RX100 Mk1 is a good choice imo (I'm a novice) as its more pocketable than most mirrorless/dslr out there while delivering good image quality, a fast lens and great video. So happens I just took some new photos today. Check it out in the link below. There's also lots more samples if you search flickr. https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=68476528 https://www.flickr.com/search/?user_id=2388...ate-posted-desc |

Those are indeed nice pictures taken by you mate. I could not believe those picture were taken by a compact camera, they are incredible. Gotta look at RX100 too, thank you for your suggestion, really appreciate it! QUOTE(darkbaby91 @ Jun 2 2014, 03:56 PM) Hello guys, I's not sure whether this is a correct thread to ask this. Hi, I was choosing between dslr n mirrorless too and finally decided to go for the latter. From what I had read dslr has bigger body than mirrorless but that wouldn't means it's better. It just means mirrorless wouldn't have the viewfinder that dslr has (anyone, pls correct me if i'm wrong). However, dslr does have more lenses options than mirrorless in general. I would says in terms of long term usage, it depends on the lenses, if you are keeping the lenses and wanting to upgrade, is there much options in the market available? Or are you just gonna invest in one camera and no intention of upgrading it? If yes, are you more of a casual photographer - you wouldn't mind having less lenses options and would prefer an easy to bring about camera? Or you'd actually like to explore further into photography, experiment with different lenses and such and find a viewfinder particularly useful? Between mirrorless and DSLR, which one is the best in term of : 1)Ergonomic (Big body is tougher and better?) 2)Picture quality( Will focal length affects picture quality?) 3)Long term usage (future proof or not?) 4)Ability to fit several occassions (weddings, jungle, etc) I've read several blogs but I'm still clueless on which camera should I get since most of the blogs did not state clear conclusions on which camera is better. Your help is much appreciated. Thank you in advance. Note that for picture quality, it really depends on the camera model (not just dslr vs evil), some mirrorless picture quality beats entry level dslr but it really depends on the model. On a side note, I noticed you mentioned jungle... would you wind carrying heavier equipments when you're jungle trekking? Also perhaps try comparing different models of camera within your budget to choose the best that suits your needs. I'd attached two links that were particularly useful for me in deciding. http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/124653-bes...le-to-buy-today http://www.tomsguide.com/us/dslr-vs-mirror...news-17736.html |

As other forumers said that I could just attach a lens adapter to suit any DSLR's lens, right? Since I'm still a student now so budget is kinda limited though. |

I would suggest you to get DSLR, it looks more pro. Just my 2 cents. Like other ppl said, with your current budget, you can either go for high end pns or entry level mirror/dslr.
If you don't mind getting a 2nd hand, there's a lot of nice deals on garage sales, with used entry level dslr / nikon 1/ olympus and panasonic mirrorless for less than 1k Starting out with a mirrorless is pretty good already, unless you think you need to do sports or something where low end mirrorless struggles with its autofocus, then only switch to dslr =) |

But let's say if I get mirrorless, I still can upgrade the lens to suit other lens made for DSLR by using adapter correct? I need confirmation regarding this one even though camera2u already clarified bout that, curiousity is killing me.If you don't mind getting a 2nd hand, there's a lot of nice deals on garage sales, with used entry level dslr / nikon 1/ olympus and panasonic mirrorless for less than 1k Starting out with a mirrorless is pretty good already, unless you think you need to do sports or something where low end mirrorless struggles with its autofocus, then only switch to dslr =) |

Adapter is possible, if I'm not wrong you'll have to stick with manual focus only though, I think it's not so worth it However I think that mirrorless nowadays have a pretty mature lens system already for our normal uses. Some people already switched from the larger dslrs into full mirrorless system for their professional landscape/portrait/wedding works. If I were you I'll consider Fuji X/Pana and Olympus m43. They have some pretty nice entry level body and lenses, and you can slowly build up your system as they have high end bodies and primes as well. |

If I am not mistaken there is no such drawback of using the Canon EOS M adapter for Canon EF lenses. Meaning the Autofocus, Image Stabiliser all should be working with the adapter. Below quoted from kenrock websiteOk, thank you for your suggestion man, gotta check them all out "Autofocus, Image Stabilization, automatic aperture control and full and complete EXIF data transfer all work flawlessly, which means they work exactly as if they were native EF-M lenses."
