You will have to decide on DSLR or Mirrorless.. if weight is an issue. That will be your first step. It can be a very personal decision because there are two distinct group and each has its own merit, fans, loyalty, mojo .... you name it..

Go to the shops and handle some of the camera first. Dont rush and dont get the shop to over influence you. You need to be happy with what you buy. You will be using it. Not keep it in the bottom drawer and grow magic mushroom!!!

Then dig and see how deep is your pocket and what you really want to do with the camera.. that way recommendations will be more focus to assist you than getting lead all over the place.

i was thinking to get the nikon d3200

Then the dealer recommend me canon EOS 700D because it is the newer model yes ?

Either the Canon 700D or the Nikon D3300 is a good choice. Try it out in the shop and see which one you prefer. Some people like Canon some people prefer Nikon.

Like some other forumer suggest you can consider middle or high end mirrorless camera as well like the Fujifilm X-E1 range for example.
