QUOTE(tengster @ Jun 5 2014, 08:02 AM)
I am reading something about rain water harvest in a website. Just feel like sharing some notes from the website.

ADVANTAGES OF RAINWATER
1. Rainwater harvesting systems allow us to achieve a sustainable future with better environment.
2. Non-potable (Non-consumption) water can be obtained through rainwater harvesting system and be use for laundry washing, watering plants, car washing, toilet flushing, etc. Substituting municipal water with rainwater for non-potable usage can decrease half the amount of the municipal water used.
3. Roof rainwater only requires little treat prior to non-potable usage. Rainwater is normally contaminated with bacteria and hence not suitable as drinking water.
4. Reduce the amount of your water bill with the use of rainwater harvesting system.
5. Rainwater harvesting is a good form of water supply during water rationing or interruption of water supply.
6. Reducing the chances of flash flood as rainwater harvesting system reduces the rain water
run-off and thus the system can be formed as a part of the rainwater management scheme.
7. Soft water is obtained through rainwater and is ideal for washing purposes while reducing the amount of detergent used.
8. Rainwater is ideal for plants watering and filling up ponds as it is chlorine free.

THis will be great to be incorporated in the house. Just like today, early morning already raining cats and dogs....

Bro, the rain harvesting system only free for those semi-D right? Terrace got nothing right?

Terrace they said no. I asked them how can be called eco if even this simple rainwater harvesting is not there? SA just smiled, dunno what else to say. blink.gif
*
Your point is valid and even for the terrace house the price already premium especially those corner lots which reached 1 mill per unit. At the end of the day is all about money smile.gif

They could have priced this into their selling price and people wouldn't complain as it fits into their "eco" model. As it stands, eco is now nothing but a name......... nothing functional.

You should have told Datuk Chang and Tan Sri on the launching day tongue.gif

I could have, but I knew it would have changed nothing. So I felt a little cheated by the name and decided not to buy instead.
*
Not to say cheat la.... if they advertise already and never give then is cheat. At the end of the day, they also need to give more premium to semi-Ds or bungalow buyers compare to terrace. That differentiate the class ma.... sweat.gif

Yup. Please don't take the literal meaning of the word cheat as what I meant. It's the expression  sad.gif
*
Bro, at the end also they also need to make the houses more affordable. If add the things you wish for then buyers have to pay extra how much wo? 15K more? 20k more? Now already got people complaining is pricy.... Anyway, understand your disappointment... I also wish the terrace house will include those solar power heater and rain harvest system.

Agree with you, everything comes at a price. Just wished they had stuck to the eco concept that they were so excited to sell with.
*
Maybe you can aim for the upcoming clustered semi-D or Semi-D? I am sure they will have more things included than terrace... somemore they should have more space... Bro Teng got a valid point there. If include rain harvest system, where to put? No place already since each of the houses build up size so huge (unless is an end lot or corner lot). You can check with the SA to confirm they are including what for the semi-D.

Not all purchasers already made the application I presume, even for those already made such application, maybe just to few banks only. Now have the chance to compare the package for all the panel banks and can submit the application in one shot...  rclxm9.gif  rclxm9.gif

SPA signing seems to me most likely will be next weekend or after.

I really hope they can launch the cluster units first before the SPA signing though...  icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif

Can anyone share what is the density of EcoHill?
*
Bro TT18 already shared it. I guess precinct 2 and 3 of EcoHill should have much lower density compare to precinct 1. If compare cradleton with precinct 1, i think number of houeses is roughly the same but the density for cradleton should be lower since it has small parks/gardens and greens.

Compared with SEH, this EM cluster and SD manyak mahal wor
Heard SD start from 1.3m or 1.4m......
Not everybody's cup of tea (or coffee) ?  tongue.gif  tongue.gif

If compare the price yes but for clustered semi-D starting price is 8xxK. Surely will have people grab it. Cradleton 24x75 price >780K also got ppl grab. The lowest entry 1 sure got ppl sapu. For non-cluster 1, maybe more difficult..... Like u said, over a million... Even SEH still have few units unsold yet.

TT-kor...I only can extract the below from the link. It refer to terrace or cluster or bungalow?

"Setia Ecohill is a thoughtfully planned eco township with a low density of less than 10 units per acre."

I think they count all gua... but precinct 1 really not very low density lo... sweat.gif

A quick comparison between dsl units.

SEH presint 1: 600 units
EM Cradleton: 600 ++ units

Comparatively about same amount of units.

Now, who could enlighten the exact size of Presint 1 for SEH and EM Cradleton? For me it's more or less about the same... Perhaps Cradleton has more space for the mini park/landscape in within, maybe will have a little bit lower value in terms of density..
*
Cradleton got more spaces for park... i think cradleton should have slightly lower density.

It is located between the third and fourth traffic light. It is not completed yet. Once it is complete  in August, there will be a new traffic light. The 700 meter straight road is still under construction as shown by Samkor photos. The team faced some boulder during the construction. By now solved liao.....
*
Bro, 3rd traffic light after the SEH traffic light? I saw some constructions there but cant tell is where. Maybe wait till Aug only go check out. Anyway, a good trip down the road so not wasted although cant find the entrance to EM. smile.gif
