I have received a few castoff-able figures, one even had a dildo inside as an accessory, without an issues. They came from NipponYasan who helps you underdeclare parcels. Amiami does not do that so if u want 18sx stuff better order from NipponYasan

Another thing I should add is try not to use premium couriers such as DHL or FedEx. Amazon Japan sent GSC's Chitoge to me using DHL, and despite the declared value of 8,200 yen (it's actual value even) it was still opened to be inspected. There's even a piece of paper with a letterhead from customs attached, stamped "dilepaskan". Luckily mine was a relatively harmless figure, but imagine customs opening the DHL box to find your R18 figurine.

local retailers usually got jalan so if you wanna avoid sleepless nights... just use them. costs more but you get a good night's sleep...

Usually no. What happened to our boss here, NY go and declare as gift. That will raise suspicions and make them open the parcel.

I really need to personally message NY not to label the item as a gift when my Saeki Ai is released.

I need your advise/ help. I bought a "brand new/ sealed" SH.Figuarts Kamen Rider Chase from an online seller. I didn't check the package properly when it was passed to me (my fault). The brown box was already opened (not mentioned by seller, i forgot to ask), then the item box seemed to have been tampered it. In the pic below, the bottom cello tape (right side) has been cut then another new one put on top.



Unfortunately, I was too hasty and removed the top tape. The bottom tape was already cut opened. "Good" news is that everything is there.

According to the seller, double taping is a common practise. And this is a Bandai QC practise whereby they will cut the existing cello tape then put things inside the open if they find anything missing during QC. Then put a new tape on top of the existing one. Just like to know if anyone has heard of this or not.

they will rarely ask you to open the box and take the figure out... so i think it should be fine with her apron on. issue is that it was declared as a gift so they'll presume you were trying to evade tax. interesting though... it's been described as a "prohibited item" so exkurogane, your explanation seems best

Thanks for the confirmation, that's what i thought too but the seller insists that it's the Bandai way... anyways, not gonna buy anything from him again.

Actually even bikini figurine has potential to be included in the prohibited item list, hence why should not even let kastam open the package.

Well, the argument on the part where it's not nude, and clothes are exchangeable is still valid. People import nude or loose parts of dollfies or bjd dolls in order to customize them. You can use the same argument - they are intended to be customized and clothes need to be purchased for covering up.

"Do you think I want my kids or my daughter to see nude stuff in my bedroom? Of course they will be dressed up" LOL

Anyway, remember to be nice and polite to the customs and staff. Not advisable to become short tempered, try to reason with them nicely.
