the exposed shoulder frame is your customization right? very nice touch thumbup.gif
*
Nope.. its pre built into the RG, which was what i really loved.. the strike freedom's shoulder was always too white IMO..
The RG's shoulder is able to slide open or close thumbup.gif

a question that always forwarded to RG strike freedom builder:
did u paint the frame?
*
Everything except the B plate.. i'd rather not mess with the inner frame.. but the other gold parts have been painted.. sorry my camera doesnt show too well

normally decals are packaged with the A plate so if it's not opened then it should be in there.. otherwise it's the fault of the factory itself laugh.gif
IMO it's troublesome to apply waterslides on RGs.. too small and too many pieces, but of course it will turn out better than the stickers provided

something's been bothering me...
with Hi Nu Ka being released this month, why Bandai not announcing new MGs for the subsequent months? I tot it's their trend to release one MG per month, correct me if I'm wrong...but till now, there's no news of new MGs...
or, they're gonna use the RE/100 to replace MGs (temporary)? The Nighty will b released in Sept.... hmm.gif
*
they haven't been consistently announcing MGs all year.. so far it's only been MG X, MG Turn X and Hi Nu ver ka.. i may have missed out some, i can't remember all
but there hasn't been a consisent one month one release this year

sorry bandai, build fighter MGs just don't count

if the build fighter MGs were actually good i'd be okay with it.. Build Strike was okay, but Build Booster as an MG release of the month is outright cheating

Build MKii was one of the biggest disappointments i have ever seen, and don't even get me started with Astray 'Particle fa jin Cat Claws'

What's wrong with Build Mk. II and Sengoku Astray?
*
build mk ii, massive disappointment, cannot justify that price point when u place it beside hard hitters like Proto Zero, Rouge Ootori
but that's just my opinion, and the build mkii does use the old 2006 model and i was not a fan

Sengoku Astray is not exactly bad, but the fact that they can't even give us hands for his 'Particle Fa Jin' move in the show just strikes me as extremely cheap

Sorry to go off-topic, but ROFL at Rouge Ootori being a "hard hitter". The ugliest and laziest backpack ever designed - it would have been a better kit if they just gave it the original I.W.S.P pack.
*
well the original IWSP pack would be great, i suppose Rouge Ootori wasn't the best example, but Proto Zero, and X Gundam at 2/3s the price
definitely won't be picking Build MkII up unless he gets a massive discount

QUOTE(General_Nic @ Aug 8 2014, 12:06 AM)
it's weird though, that Bandai didn't reserve December slot for Hi-Nu Ver Ka
unless more badass Ver Ka coming soon?  brows.gif

Xi Gundam Ver Ka? OH GOD BANDAI PLEASE

am i the only one that thinks the unicorn titanium finish is crap? somehow the "titanium" finish doesnt really come out compared to the nu ver ka or even sinanju red titanium.
*
The unicorn really lacked details.. when he's titaniun he's still basically one color
Nu had a lot of parts separation to make all kinds of colors pop, as well as better titanium finish surface
Sinanju is.. well.. red.. titanium red is always sexy

AFAIK the only differences between OVA and ver ka unicorn is the head vulcans and the added knee bend
The head vulcans i dont really care for since they're neglectably small
Extra knee bend? FAU isnt going to do more than just standing there whistling.gif
Sinanju had the bazooka.. what would FAU get? Take out the beam javelin? (Remember he never used the javelin in the show IIRC) laugh.gif

I see.. i neglected to notice the knee bend is alrdy incorporated since FAU does little more than just stand there whistling.gif

No lah, not play like kids...is just sometime i like to repose them, move this joint and that joint.
I heard from my friend is that gunpla is very fragile, you should pose and put inside cabinet, not touch them a lot.

for me this defeat my purpose of collecting figure.
I like to touch here and touch there...

besides, I am hot toys and diecast car collector before, so I am looking for some playable and durable quality similar as these both.
*
sorry but you're not going to get the value of a hot toys figure here
for metal build, yes, you're getting your money's worth but exclusives will definitely punch a hole through your wallet.. gunpla is essentially for building, painting and admiring, though i have no problems posing and reposing my gunpla fairly often for photoshoots and alternate display options
you just have to know which parts are movable and which are not, really get the feel of the figure (which you will if you built it) and you'll be fine.. gunpla are definitely fairly sturdy but of course rough play will damage it, but since you're from hot toys i think you won't handle your figures/kits so roughly either

i think right now the most durable i have is MG X Gundam, in terms of body at least.. the new inner frame really feels good to pose with
satellite cannon i cannot deny that the connection is a bit fragile
