As I have not actually tried all three versions so cannot confirm but based on feedback in this thread, it seems V27 is bad, V29 is worse and V31 is better. Just bear in mind, the battery capacity is only 2,000mAH. Sifus here may want to add their comments.

When stock, I tried everything, wipe n reset... still occur
After that I just upgrade firmware without rooting. Just use the factory setting to update.

To no avail, problem still persists... zzzzz T_T

Oh yeah.. Another rant is that cannot use the volume buttons on the iPhone earphones. The middle button however can jump to next track.

besides batt drain , do your phone feel hot too ?

i don't use mine very often. but even with data turned on and on standby, i managed to last more than 1 day. its quite satisfying for me. i'll remain on 27 for now.

Not particularly hot for mine, warm only. But I am not a heavy user so it would depend on usage I guess. On V27 that came with phone.

My Moto G with Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 won't show HEAT compare to Redmi 1S.
My Redmi Note with MTK Chipset won't show HEAT because is MediaTek SoC.

Conclusion: Lack of ROM optimized using of Qualcomm Snapdragon will cause HEAT. So Xiaomi MIUI ROM is the one to blame.

But Mi3 is also using Snapdragon, although different model. Supposedly they should have the experience in tweaking the kernel for that chipset.

Actually Snapdragon 800 on Mi3 have heat problem as well, just like most Snapdragon 800 out there.

The Xiaomi soft gel case fits the 1S like a glove. Good value for RM20.

Is anyone of you try the USB OTG? I tried on my 1S but nothing happened... The same cable and USB stick working fine on my S5 and any other device that support USB OTG

The USB OTG worked on my phone. Try mounting it under USB Storage in Settings->Storage though it is normally mounted automatically.

depend. some phone is very particular.

u try insert your thumb drive with the otg then plug into phone.

i noticed the processor gets very warm as well when you're playing around with your camera they really need to optimize the ROM
