Hey guys, i just recive my redmi 1s, wanna ask is there any way to make those photos/video taken to be saved in sd card? Just now i even tried saving contact in sd card in the end the saved contact goes to my internal storage instead of sd card

I tried use samsung micro sd 16gb class 6
And Kingston 16gb class 6

But no luck, both also cannot auto save picture taken from camera. the phone can detect the sd card i can even manage the sd card like copy file and paste in sd card..

I tried both of the sd card on other phone and it works like usual

Anyone face this issue?

on top of that i even tried some method suggested from mi forum like format the sd card with the phone but still did not get to save it in sd card automatically

1. 3rd party camera
2. Folder mount (root)

I only know this 2 method.

Why users chose Redmi 1S over H3c/ Redmi Note
1) It has a Snapdragon Chipset!
2) 8MP camera for RM419!
3) MIUI is the runner up to the ToP 3 ROM in my list
4) by any chance if the kernel sourcr is released, we would have vanilla android!
5) cheap for teenagers like me and for other people to use as spare phone
6) somebody just want to use it as a door stopper doh.gif

the key is to choose what we need at an affordable price. by adding rm80 we can get a better spec phone. but once u have 3c, there will be ppl who say add another hundred bucks and you get a better phone and so

everyone has different needs. maybe one needs a redmi note for a big screen or an enthusiast could fly all the way to korea just to get the latest GS5 LTE-A..
redmi 1S price to performance ratio is exceptionally high. so far I've seen no company that provides Snapdrsgon chipset for under 500. well, at leas not the mid to high end chips

eventhough redmi 1s is boasted with snapdragon chipset, unfortunately it's not as snappy as honor 3c. the only pro i found with this phone is the price with this screen size. other than that doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

It seems like the memory card slot is for display only if cannot auto save pictures and video taken from its original apps

if got second battery, should have a battery charger with you. else no point keep swapping battery to charge in phone, so hassle.

From time to time just use the explorer to move the files to the card.

I think the whole point of a discussion thread is to talk about the pros and cons of the product without getting overly defensive when someone points out some issues.

I have bought mi3, 1s and H3c. Will most likely buy mipad when it comes out (and maybe Redmi Note since someone pointed out to me that it has multi-language options). Already bought iPad & ipod touch btw. I would say all the models have pros & cons.

I think its fair to compare products within a similar price bracket, with +/- RM100 being a reasonable range. Someone may say, oh why not top up 1,500 for an iphone, I think that's just the fool talking without sense.

Within the 419-519 price range, there is 1s, Redmi Note & H3c.
Within 499 - 599 price range, there is H3c, Redmi Note & maybe one of the Asus Zenfones. What else is there?

For me, 1s with Snapdragon sounds good technically. In real-life performance it falls short of the H3c, especially in terms of features...so many to name... but this is a 1s thread so I shall not mention them here.

The real question is, are the additional features worth the extra RM80 for another phone? That is a question only YOU can answer.

However, if some day the 1s come with 2GB ram and multi-language options, I would not hesitate to get a few more units.

Peace! smile.gif

yeh , it's MIUI issue , seem like no one willing to fix the system camera at all. Wonder any Mi3 user can test it whether the camera app can be install on 1s.
Others than 3rd party camera , nothing else can do without root.

for the price you pay for it, dont dream it will work like a 1k device performance. great processor, great rom size...but too bad, even hongmi perform way better than 1s...that's sad.
