When I applied for the Essential Card, the Hong Leong Bank staff said, all retail transaction except petrol will qualified.
As for Wise Card, let me summon the Expert on Wise supersound
If course, standard retail transaction excluded balance transfers, interest, penalties.
Not sure about easy payment plans.

QUOTE(Quinway @ Apr 16 2015, 10:10 PM) I just called to CS hours ago, for twice. For both times the CS officer said I can't convert my Ti directly to GE as these are two different products, and I'll need to make new application (i.e. submit documents etc go through the hassle all over again) if I wanna get GE card. Then, once approved, I need to call back to CS if I wanna cancel Ti. Quote from the CS officer, there's no such thing as conversion. Can anyone helps clarify if the information I'm being told correct? 'cause apparently some managed to covert from Ti to GE in this thread. PS: I am a GE policy holder Don't use conversion. Just say you wanna apply for the GE Co brand card. Some banks allow application for additional card over the phones for existing customers.

They cannot force customers to convert all premiums above 2,200 to auto IPP.
It has to be at Option of customers, else complaints to BNM.

QUOTE(Sirius @ Apr 21 2015, 05:42 PM) One of my frens who had the GE card, he said he already cancelled the auto-IPP, because he want 1% not 0.1%. Cancel the auto IPP or cancel the Card. IMHO, auto IPP must be an option and not forced on consumer, else BNM will not approve such features that force consumer who dont want such IPP scheme.

Guys.
Wanna know why OCBC is cutting back its benefit for its Credit Cards.
It's cos you guys always pay in full and never rollover your debts
From my contacts who works in investors relations
Citibank – RM6.4 b Maybank – RM5.3 b Hong Leong – RM4.2 b CIMB – RM4.6 b HSBC – RM2.7 b Stan Chart – RM2.2 b UOB – RM2.1 b AmBank – RM1.9 b RHB – RM1.9b Public – RM1.6 b OCBC – RM585 mln or 0.6 b
Source are from respective financial statements.
How to support benefits when so many people pay in gull.

Actually from the list, suprise to see HSBC and Stan Chart.
Cos AFAIK, those card dont have much CB benefits but amount outstanding, I. credit card receivables is much higher than OCBC with good CB benefits.
This means, OCBC has not managed to target enough revolvers.
Wonder why.
Perhaps OCBC not enough pretty girls to sell their Cards

QUOTE(noien @ Apr 28 2015, 11:48 PM) i got lots of cards too. now a few pending to cut. but i think the 1% for internet transaction is good too. at least no AF while essential have AF. GE have AF too isnt it? Essential card auto fee waiver subject to RM8k spend or 12 retail transactions pper year https://www.hlb.com.my/main/personal/cards/essential-cardGE card has no AF But perhaps, we should stick to just talking about OCBC cards.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jun 6 2015, 12:39 AM) My monthly is RM 250 and one year whole is only RM 3k. Even though it breaks into 12-month installment, it is still RM 250 for me. My agent told me, mine has no difference whether paying in lump sum annually, quarterly or monthly. That's why he suggested me to just auto-debit every month rather than me paying RM 3k annually. In short, mine doesn't have discount. If there is, I would have opted for it long time ago and not auto-debit from my Titanium card earlier and now GE Plat. For ILP. there is no.different in premium between monthly or annual payment, but there will be different in cash value. If you pay annual lump sum, cash value protections will be higher than monthly. But sometimes, safer to pay monthly so that the funds can average down during bad times like these Imagine, annual sum payment when KLCI just dropped 300 points.
