It is not the matter of local uni or overseas grad or local uni local degree or local uni overseas degree thing. College/Uni is the place for you to know yourself, especially in which part of the course are you more interested in. You'll need to pick out what that can be applied to working life and what's only for the finals. If you've just graduated, too bad, you might get stuck not knowing what you wanna do or how the course benefits you at all.

Maybe he should try jobstreet's job-matching thingy, which i find to be utter rubbish. Grad in Business IT but the idiotic function keep on pairing my resume to sales job, which I hate n despised the most.. WTF.
Actually you should change the topic. First you got yourself confused on your degree, now you got the topic confused as well. Since you are asking what type of engineer you are, what does that have to do with local grads being sucky? About the comment by the interviewer, what he say might be true. It all depends on the individual's effort to pick up extra knowledge/interest along his college/uni life. But still I believe most of us local grads can outspeak n outdo foreign grads.
