WoW TCG SE Asian Continental Championships 2008
August 9th 2008 - August 10th 2008
Venue: Suntec Convention Centre Hall 402 & 403
In conjunction with World Cyber Games Singapore National Finals 2008

Event structure, prizes and much more will be announced over the next few days. One thing's for sure; courtesy of UDE and Popcorn Gaming, the winner from this event will be flying in October to play at Worlds! On top of that, top 8 players will walk away with Samsung mobile phones, MP3 players and more.

This will be a regional open event, we are expecting up to 100 attendees from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. Official pre-event registration will begin soon, check back here for more updates as they become available.

As expected Frost Mage is Traitor Druid's bad matchups

Wastewalker Helm + Form of the Serpent/Wrath/Moonfire seems to be a good maindeckable answer for Water Elemental/big ally removal.

I know that you are probably excited about the first format listed.  This is one of the fun formats that I eluded to earlier.  For the Two Pack Sealed format, each round you will get two packs of the set that is being used that round.  All players will be split into 8 player pods and for the first round, each player will be handed two packs of March of the Legion. You crack those packs, remove the hero and points cards (and if you feel a loot, it’s all yours).  No peeking at the rest of the pack! You shuffle up the rest of the cards, choose one of the heroes you pulled out of the packs and get to playing.  The winner of each pod will be awarded a iPod Nano. It’s that simple.  The other formats will use the same pairing system with the 8 player pods and the prizing will be the same.

Quite a bit actually. Apart from the ease of getting stuff on eBay and paying less postage, playmats and deckboxes are way easier to find. The Damage Dice and War Chest are on shop shelves, and UDE is increasing prize support to UK so hopefully we can get some of that cool pre-release gear. Oh and I notice stuff that is given to tournament winners in Malaysia is participation prizes in UK...I got an Illidan t-shirt just for showing up at the HFI pre-release (and getting my ass kicked by Stuart Wright, UK Champion) but no lah apart from that gear, things aren't so different from Malaysia.

I have .. so far, 3 playmats and 5 t-shirt. Both are very hard to get around here, especially the playmats, thats why i need saruman's help to get the Drums of War playmat and also t-shirt .. dun for yea, saruman.

The dice damage chest and sleeves came in here before but was in very limited quantities, now i cant even see it around here anymore.
