Hello all,
recently there are quite many number of job especially looking for SAP consultants which offer quite attractive pay. But not many of us is SAP certified and dun hv experience either. Thus, some will require to take up the course which is not cheap.... For some, they might get loan from bank just to study this course.
Anyone out there...what your opinion? Got thing to share with us? Thing such as:
1. future market for this. 2. competition 3. the quality of the profession. etc etc

IMHO, it depends on how you see the course, knowledge, and future of it, ie: ... an expense or an investment. ... For me, I believe IT without business is nothing. SAP, or other ERP system should be one of the solid ways to integrate the IT and business, which is click and mortar .... please google some research on this area, for example: Have (IT) certs will travel? http://www.zdnet.com.au/insight/software/s...39261776,00.htmGood luck. Highly skilled BW experts earns a lot of money, the highest I've heard for a BW contractor is earning about RM1500 per day. Technical side of SAP? Are you an ABAPer?

Yeah u can get that amount if you work on contractual basis for companies like Shell. Otherwise the reality is that with 2 years of experience ur salary is only RM5k like a friend of mine.

QUOTE(F1meteor @ Aug 6 2006, 01:02 AM) Does ABAPer pays are high? it depends actually on companies and the experience u have, n it might not be as high as functionals.. but i must say that it all comes back to the basic, if u wanna be a experienced functional consultant, first u gotta know the basic, which is abap.

SAP is all about databases and knowing how the business process works..
and of course if u are in ABAP....u can never run from programming.
