QUOTE(sHawTY @ Nov 24 2014, 12:09 PM) I tried once when I registered my 2nd UniFi account, but they said the D-Link DIR-615 is no longer available. thank you!, my is just 5mbps.. i think Asus is overkill for this.. TP link price lower then asus yes? You're better off buying your own 3rd party router from ASUS or TP-Link. |

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Nov 24 2014, 07:05 PM) ASUS routers are not overkill nor overpriced i really wanted asus as well, but all i saw pricing is quite expensive, hench why i say so Their prices is fair for their high quality products, frequently updated firmwares & they provide the best tech support. ASUS is the only manufacturer who has their own tech support guy in our forum & he's very active in solving problems. ASUS also frequently release firmware updates. Take my 3 & ½ year old RT-N16 for example. This router has already been stopped from production for nearly a year but it still receive firmware updates until today. TP-Link is cheap, so as the quality of their products, nonexistent tech support & their products rarely receive firmware updates. I'm speaking based on my own experience owning several ASUS & TP-Link routers. 2 x ASUS RT-N16 1 x ASUS RT-AC68U 1 x TP-Link TL-WR1043ND 1 x TP-Link TL-WDR4300 300++ is kinda over kill for a router for me >< |
