Using vip10 in 2-storey house, modem router at downstairs living hall. Rooms upstairs get weak wifi signal, will those wifi range extender wall plugs help boost the signal upstairs? I do not intend to change the default unifi equipment yet.

For me I used ASUS RT-N12HP as Range Extender solved my problem. Only cost me RM165 bought at Lowyat Plaza 2 weeks ago. Went back again and bought another unit for my brother as well.

How about RM 200-300 range? Also , recommendation not limited to Asus ,  I am open to try any router that is good and does the job well~

In my brother case, there was no coverage in his master bedroom and whole ground floor as his Unifi stock router was placed at his study room cum office which is located at the back-end of his second floor. With the ASUS RT-N12HP placed at the staircase corridoor (2nd floor), I can have full semi-d coverage (1,000 sq feet x 2) now when assigned the ASUS router as repeater / range extender.

Install wifi detector app (WiFi Overview 360 Pro) in your android handphone, you can have better idea how weak your wifi signal around your house and with this info handy, you can place your repeater at the strategic location in your house for optimum coverage.

Yes you can. Hook it up to your modem there you go as Router, AP or Repeater.

Check this out.

https://www.tm.com.my/jajumbo/Pages/index.html

VIP10 = RM 149 + RM 60
VIP20 = RM 199 + RM 60

+ RM 60 is for HyppTV Jumbo Pack

The important thing is, can you get VIP10 for RM149 WITHOUT paying an additional RM60 for the HyppTV Jumbo Pack?  laugh.gif

Package deal. This is why so attractive. I think it is still okay for new subscription as the HyppTV package only bond for 12 months. Can terminate the HyppTV package RM 60 after 12 months contract end.

Dont be so confident that you can remove the RM60 Hypptv and enjoy the broadband at lower price. You must not remove the component of the package to enjoy such price. Your package price isnt valid IF you remove the Hypptv regardless the contract period. The worst part is if you remove the Hypptv, there is high chance you are considered as Change of Package (COP) or Replace Offer (RO) which can ended up re-contracting you to another billing offer. please ask them this question or you'll regret with your assumption.

Went to TM Point to verify and confirmed with 2 of their staffs. 1 (from front counter) said no problem to terminate the HyppTV Jumbo package and subcription remain at RM 149 for VIP10 and one came out from backend office said the same and quote "biasany tiada masaalah" as long as you keep the Unifi contract valid within 24 months while HyppTV contract 12 months expire you can either terminate, upgrade or downgrade the package after the contract expire. If it is within the contract period, you have to pay the penalty.

Double check with Unifi term and conditions as well as the agreement for this package and nothing mentioned about COP or RO.

Well when time comes, who knows what will happen. Probably anyone can advise their experience from previous various promotions that couple with HyppTV package. Did they encounter any problem to terminate the HyppTV service after the 12 months contract period which would somehow affected their monthly VIP charges amount.....

There you have it.  rclxms.gif

As I say, you cannot unbundle the Ja-Jumdo deal and expect to pay only RM149 for VIP10.

If that is the case, many subscribers will opt for this route, including me.

Look like this is the only way to go. Not so bad if I will to treat it like RM 169 (What you are getting now) + HyppTV Premium package with HD channels worth RM 50 subscribed to Unifi.

Just pay litttle extra RM 10 for HyppTV as the normal subscription for VIP10 is RM 199.....

When can we able to enjoy mega speed broadband as cheap as other country? Don't need to compare far just our neighbour country will do.
