I beg to differ again. I have seen many types of STP. I dont what type Ecoworld is putting in EM and where they are putting.

Lets visit Setia Alam as an example. The STP is located at the most southern tip of Precinct 6. This STP probably serving several precints such as 6, 7 and 8. The seperation is about 60-80 meter (maybe more or less). What are there in the 60-80 meter...
1. there are 4 lanes tarmac road and divider,
2.follow by shoulder of the road,
3. a small stripe of water feature and green plus shoulder or road or
4. the road 2 lanes intenal road and then house...

So far, in the forum, none actually cowpeh about smell or anything from the STP in Setia Alam. I did a measurement in Wikimap for Setia Alam Precinct 8. It is about 80 meter from house to the boundary. THe oxidation ponds are sitting maybe another 30 mete deeper away from the boundary. See map below.....

Owing of all the above, I will think the planner and the masterplan dude would have considered the distance for EM. Perhaps we can expect a separation of 60-80 meter in EM too......If they fail to consider this, go find the fella and knock his damn head...until rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

If the STP is really out of function, the smell can be nasty, even it is 100 - 200 m away. Nevertheless, I have been told this is an enclosed STP, means the sewarage will be treated inside the tank and no more direct expose to the air.  thumbup.gif

Enclosed type. I know there are at least four types but I dont have the information to share at the moment. Actually, I have the least worry about STP, drainage or cabling.... THey have shown enough credential as old team.

There was a point I was worry about the lake being used partly as retention pond. You see, basically in new township of this size, the developer has the obligation of knowing the infill rate and discharge rate of rainwater. After the development, they have to achieve the same. Lakes are being used to do the job i.e. to slow down the water flow due to excessive runoff (due to development). Will the lakes overflow? WIll the walking or jogging path inundated with rainwater like what happened in parlty of Western Lake and Central Park. Will thee be any culverts that come without provision of 'something' to prevent blockage of the culverts.

Well...I have no absolute answer what will happen in actual site when everything precint is UP and running.... BUT they dug the lake deeper to prevent such occurence in EM. At site, the lake is forming well. I saw piling work done on the proposed little bridge and also the gazebo. They look serious in making it happen well. nod.gif

What other concern I have? I worry about filled area where this could potentially cause uneven and minor to moderate soil settlement.

I did ask them about this. They pretty much acknowledged lesson learnt from Setia Alam early phases that soil marine soil is no play play. Air tenang jangan disangka tiada buaya. Sekali dicengkam, nama baik suffer selama-nya. By now, they should be on top of this issue, hopefully. cool2.gif cool2.gif

Firstly, I think you underestimate the purchasing power of this corridor i.e. Semenyih, Beranang, Kajang, Bangi, Cheras...... Apart from the purchasers of this corridors, many other purchasers are keen too.

Secondly, you also underestimate the brandname of EcoWorld. Just figuratively, EcoBot ballot is oversubscribed by x times. And those are cluster and semi-D. Then, Ecosky was sold out within the same day (exclude Clarita).

Thirdly, being the largest gated and guaded freehold stratified township in MY, it does carry some weight on it.

Having said all the above, the queue may not start on Friday.... tongue.gif
