Hello suggie lovers!

I'm a new member to this forum. I just found it out.

Seems like this thread has gone a long way and I am still a quarter way reading this thread.

I would just like to share a few things here.

I myself had just finally gotten a suggie which I am loving patiently day by day. I know they are such darling creatures and very adorable, however, that must not be the only reason to get one. Having a suggie is quite a big commitment and I believe it has been pointed out earlier by smellyocheese

To cut things short, I understand that to get suggie supplies and stuff is quite difficult here. And I see that a lot of people are looking for the bonding pouch/sleeping pouch for their suggies. I have also noticed the various types of pouches used, well it is not entirely wrong, but the best material has to be fleece and that the inside part is double stitched or reversed stitched so that the suggies don't chew on them or get their claws caught in it.

To ensure that, I made the pouches myself. I have sold a couple to a friend and she thinks it is great. If anyone is interested, you can e-mail me for further details. I wish to help all the suggie lovers in Malaysia to ensure that the suggies get all the things they need and be happy little suggies

Btw, since I have not finished reading the whole 91 pager, does anyone here know where to get the suggie supplement? The vitamin and calcium powder? I have been searching high and low and have not found it and am very close to having some shipped from the US. If there is around here, it would be great.

You can get those supplement in Ikano. Most of it is sold there. Stuff like rep-cal can be used too. If you're worried, try to get some Magic Powder from Ikano, ask them, they will know. Welcome to the club~

I've checked with them regarding the supplement, they said they do not have suggie supplements.

Yeah, the calcium powder should be rep-cal, they're the best, but they said they don't have

The vitamin I'm looking for is Vionate.

hey guys can share some tips on how to bath my sg? and btw is watermelon safe to be comsume by Sg?

Perhaps you can try Pet Family at Taman Megah (near Ming Tien food court). They have quite a number of stuff there but I'm not sure whether they have the supplement or not.. I've got mine a while ago from there.

That you have to ask Hun. Oh.. watermelon is ok, but their poop will be red.

Oh really... Thanks Suiteng I shall check it out I'm worried if he doesn't get enough supplement, he'll get sick or something, really don't want to take the risk.

Suggies can be bathe? From what I know it's not good and not encouraged cuz their skin can get dried easily from water.

Can just clean them with wet tissue (for babies wan ah). I do that to Sasa, but my Benben love to swim

Nolar.. they will drown. My Benben like to dip himself in the water dish (purposely).

You can get repti cal and repti vite at some petshops... but for those who are feeding my glider mix to their gliders do not need to give anymore supplements since already included in their food heheheh...

Yesterday had alieamin and hamster9 over at my place... kinda fun to see our gliders mingle hahahah... and had a "fun" time bathing alieamin's Oshine... my goodness, she gave me lots of lovely marks on my arms hahahh... but I hope she smells better.

hun if u dun mind, can u share on how to bath the gliders?

I'm going to scout for the supplements today. If I still cannot find them, mebbe ask some vet or just stick to crazymouse's slurp mix

Btw, suiteng, was it you that once your suggie had UTI? My suggie has been making that hissing sound while peeing lately... Is it really bad? Should I bring him to the vet?

Choi choi choi~~~ My SG never had that problem luckily. Perhaps you try to ask in sugarglider.net. They have a lot of experience of handling that over there.

Yeah, mine is male. But he is no baby... I would say 6-12 months. This person I bought from dunno his age, he didn't want him cuz he got it from a friend. I wanted to get a baby from a breeder, but kesian him, so I got him instead. He said he's appx. 5 months, but I don't think so cuz judging from his size...

I think sometimes he hisses when he pee, and sometimes not. But probably I didn't notice the other times cuz I cudn't it and wait for him to pee all the time... I'm a bit worry tho

Any idea?

Mine too hiss when he pees.... I guess nthing much. Mine like to hiss when I disturb him sleep (his sleep is more precious than his food other than mealworms )

I can't imagine Chiwek despite his cute face and manja-ness... he is the Alpha Male. I COD with BelleG yesterday but got the wrong glider...a male joey. So then i tot can use Sui Teng's method. Put the cage inside of Chiwek territory. But Chiwek attacked the cage. So I opened my room door to get out...I was chased by Chiwek. I think he gila edi when see other males..

I carry him back to the room and he was running around scent marking his territory. What's worse, he come running to me hoping I don't shower other glider than him my love at 3am This boy ar....
