Its definitely not perfect by any means, even for its price range. It sounds pretty clear and the bass is real punchy, though it may not be suitable for certain kind of music.Just be aware that the speakers can be very bright sometimes and don't turn up the subwoofer a lot or the bass will sound bloated (especially for music).
Still its a really powerful set of speakers and sub,you can tear the house down with these thumbup.gif

look, it got two build in subwoofer, normal pc 2.1 speaker just one subwoofer. currently i am using sony 7500watt mini hifi with two build in 20cm subwoofer. when i open volumn until half only, i receive complain frm my neighbour frm up stair, they told me their floor is shaking and i can feel my whole house door and wall are shaking. this is real hifi deep bass which is none of a computer speaker can deliver, nor even those RM1000++ logitech speaker(normally ppl praise logitech speaker bass powerfull). i never heard ppl praise GMX 2.1, mostly what i heard is the bass is boomy and bloat which is not true bass, its bass can loud but sound not nice. a real nice bass is tight and clear yet u can feel ur heart is follow it jumping.

Hey Deepfritz, I would assume that your Sony mini hifi is rated at 7500W PMPO and not RMS right? There's no way a mini hifi can generate that amount of power. PMPO is only a marketing gimmick.

oh.. ya... hehe
the RMS is: (235watt x 2)front speaker + (70watt x 3)center & rear speaker

rclxm9.gif drool.gif Hell yeah, it's way damn cool Hi-Fi from Sony... It's woofer is damn large (18")!!! notworthy.gif I know it's way powerful but what i wan't is juz a 2.1 PC Speaker, sorry!!! tongue.gif Hehe... biggrin.gif Don't worry, i know 'bout basses, so now i've been trying out brands that are rather not expensive such as Klipsch but still sound damn nice... (That's why i didn't plan on speakers such as Logitechs, Altecs, Creatives and etc.) But i was amazed and curious about the way my friend and my friend's cousin described their Klipsch... whistling.gif But thanx deepfritz7!!! thumbup.gif

No offense. When u got the correct subwoofer setting, it sldn't annoy your neighbour. It just blend it right and doesnt go too boomy.

I did check with my neighbours. They dont seems to be disturbed by it. Apparently, they didnt know that I was blasting at high vol. 200W powered 12" sub with dual 10" woofer spkr (that makes 4 x 10") firing away. No prob. Tuned using Radioshack SPL meter.
