Porto wanted to sign Suso. Noooooooooo
*
Would be a good move for both parties IF we can insert a buyback clause. Suso definitely have the potential to become a star and Porto has a good track record of developing stars.

How old is this AJ?
*
Turning 27 next month. Someone who can provide a spark off the bench but I don't know if he is willing to sit on the bench because I don't foresee much playing time for him even as a backup. If we are indeed moving for Shaqiri I don't think we need AJ especially when our most used tactic is a diamond that doesn't require wingers.

Manchester City's plans for next season's Champions League campaign have received a huge boost after it was confirmed the club will only need to name five rather than eight home-grown players in their reduced 21-man squad.

Pressure from the players' union FIFPro has forced UEFA to agree to temper its sanctions imposed against City and Paris Saint-Germain for breaching financial fair play rules.

UEFA had intended that both clubs would only be allowed to have 21 players with eight of those having come through the youth system in their home countries.

On the other hand, Red Star excluded from UCL over FFP

Serbian SuperLiga champions Red Star Belgrade have been excluded from next season's Champions League after falling foul of UEFA's Financial Fair Play regulations.

It was announced on April 11 that the club were to be referred to UEFA's Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) after it was discovered a number of overdue payments to employees and other clubs.

Moral of the story? It is okay to breach FFP as long as you can pay for it. rclxms.gif

Sagna to Man City. Fabregas to Chelsea. This is getting too weird for me.
*
Weird? Have you not seen it before? ACole, Adebayor, Nasri, Kolo, Clichy...the list goes on....

Reina is Spain's 4th or 5th choice at best if Valdes is fit. Diego Lopez should be 1st or 2nd choice depending on Del Bosque's preference between him and De Gea.

he is not in the squad bro. only can select 3 keepers.
*
Yes I know and I was only reiterating Del Bosque's questionable selection of old guards due to sentiments.

How did Reina get in ahead of Lopez?

How did Torres and Villa get in ahead of Negredo?

Didn't watch Shaqiri but watched Griezmann instead. That guy is simply not a winger. There was NO buildup play from the left because he was a central striker for most of the match especially when Benzema drops deep to link with his midfield and Griezmann was anonymous throughout the game.

Really? Hmm i'm proven wrong then. laugh.gif How about that German left back Howedes or something?
*
Howedes is a centre back.

QUOTE(melt @ Jun 17 2014, 05:05 PM)
We are now linked with Daley Blind...  how many more LB are we going to be linked I wonder...

not bad Blind. Ajax player of the year and Dutch footballer of the year 13/14
*
Blind played well in one game and yes he is a player of the year but it's when he plays holding midfield. Not sure if he can play left back long term. The game highlighted his crosses but if you watched the whole game he sprayed lots of long balls and crosses all game long but most went astray as you would expect from crosses. Crosses and long punts forward aren't exactly our play style so I have yet to see what he can do in a shorter passing game.
