If I buy the phone now it will be loaded with kitkat or jellybean ?

Most probably on 4.3 . My friend just bought an unit 2 weeks ago. Again depend on seller's stock position. No correct answer at this point. He was prompted immediately to update once he switched it on

Never faced such an issues on the official kitkat and 2 other custom roms I have tested.. I think is probably some of his apps issues causing such a problem. All my apps are official ones from playstore

My apps are from playstore too. Maybe some kinda corrupted file. Will redo the rom thing later and see how.

Most probably you have inserted your simcard in wrong direction. Take out n try again

less likely, as the tray only fits the sim one way only.

have you used any nano sim adapters for the sim, adapters have a tendency to break the sim connectors

Hi guys. There's a silly question.
My pc can't detect my phone when I plug the USB cable tried on different ports, different cable but still same issue.
It will only detect if I restart my pc. Restarted my phone too
Anyone face the same issue??

Posted on xda but not much traction, maybe some here can help

I'm currently running .257 (4.2.2) on my ZU

- Rooted
- Dual recovery installed (CWM/TWRP)
- TA backed up
- Locked bootloader
- Stock rom
- I have Androxyde's Flash Tool

Question:

Can i just pop in any custom ROM (4.3 or 4.4.2) and just run with it through CWM?
Or do i need to have some other preps done before making these upgrades?

Would appreciate any answers to help with my questions, as there is so much information now that it can get confusing...thanks!

Bootloader unlock is as simple as using the flashtool, right?

What comes after that? Can i just apply a ROM from sd?

Get your bootloader unlock code from Sony, go here
once unlocked your bootloader, flash the packages that are needed for the ROM. some ROM comes with FTF and boot.img, so make sure you flash the files as per described by their instructions. normally the system files come in .zip files, so that you will need to flash from sd or internal storage via recovery.
