Very hard to flash to GPe. Many bricked their phones doing so.Sony XPERIA™ Z Ultra | Official Thread V8, Android 4.4 KitKat Now Available!

QUOTE(Xirality @ May 3 2014, 04:03 PM) I've been toying that idea on my previous C6802 and found just too risky. I sold it cheap. Just last week, found someone selling the GPe and I bought it. Loving it since. No SOD, bugs and faster due to less weird crap apps. Now, 1 problem, KK disabled SD card write for 3rd party apps. On Sony pure ROM, also same issue but Sony apps can write onto SD card under Settings > Storage. |

QUOTE(acbc @ May 3 2014, 03:58 PM) You can try flashing the tweaked GPE version from XDA. It is fast n easy just flashing from recovery. All the write issues to ext Sdcard is resolved. You need not even to wipe data.. But i didn't like it n flash back to stock kitkat using flash toolThis post has been edited by benny888: May 3 2014, 04:27 PM |

QUOTE(acbc @ May 3 2014, 03:58 PM) one should not afraid of bricking their phones if they done it right. EDIT : like what uncle benny said, there is a tweaked GPE ROM that is easy to flash. This post has been edited by raymondtong94: May 3 2014, 04:47 PM |

Anyway, not planning to root the GPe because unable to backup TA partition. Otherwise will lose both X-Reality and ClearAudio+.
Waiting for exploit type root. This post has been edited by acbc: May 3 2014, 05:35 PM |
