With some creative modification, I'm sure you can smile.gif
Btw, I've read somewhere that people use a 35mm film plastic canister to be a diffuser.

i just come back from MidValley (nice christmas decoration there)

I found when i use AV around 4 to 5, the shutter speed quite slow and make my photo result blur blur.. hua.. make me want to upgrade to DSLR (but no money)

and show i see that the photo result is not sharp enough..

FYI i use ISO 100 (noticeable noise already so i didnt use ISO 200), i didnt use flash oso

any advice guysss ??

use ISO 200, 400, or even 800,

aperture set to widest(lowest f-number), get ur hand stedy.

A noisy but proper exposed photo looks better that a severe blured and underexposed photo.

Only ISO200 or more is acceptable when I was there:

Lower produces less noise.

hm... S3 IS even with ISO400 will look noisy with a full sized image. i would try to stay up to ISO200. ISO800 would be much, much noisier...

can anyone share their creativity with the origami diffuser on S3 IS? rclxms.gif

ISO200? I found jpeg artifact / noise even at ISO80 if view at 100% magnification.

Hey abang kei kunn! So hows the trip to Tokyo? I'm going on February next year. Any idea if the Canon DSLRs there's cheaper? just curious cause i thought of getting one there. From what i heard they are selling RM1700 for a 400D kit. Hehe. =]

cheap? hm... not really lah.. lemme get you some example.

IXY910IS launched in Japan , early Sept 07. Launched in Msia as IXUS 860IS , end of Sept 07

selling there at BIC CAMERA (one of famous Duty Free shop) 46,900Yen which translates for RM1350 (roughly), limited warranty. standard gift.

got back in Msia, a shop in Lowyat (2nd floor) Selling RM1370 with tripod, case, bag and 2GB sd... If you are looking for lense, maybe they are cheaper , i guess.

Unless, I could not find the best place to get cheap camera laugh.gif

well, RM1.7K for a 400D kit is damn cheap shocking.gif

Recently I bump into a very interesting read about comparison between S3/S5 and DSLR. For those who's owning a S3/S5, and envy those having DSLR but can't afford one, check out the thread below and you may feel better biggrin.gif

It seems more like a thread for sore losers who can't afford a DSLR trying hard to convince themselves that they made a good choice for choosing S3 / S5 IS over DSLR.

No it's S3 IS is not a DSLR. It's a prosumer.
