I still don't quite get the psychology behind the huge buying of MAS. Because of the low price? With such FA (or you don't even need FA to know that MAS is having problems. Look at the newspaper is more than enough), yet people are buying it.
Ok, lai paper trading. I bought at 0.155 x 100 lots = RM1,550. Sell it now at 0.175 x 100 lots = RM1,750. Yeah~ RM200~ (punt/bet/gamble) Or even bigger volume. Which means, people don't look at the biz behind the company at all? Look at the figure of the net income. Anyone wants to clear my doubt? Don't whack me lahhh.. |

QUOTE(Boon3 @ May 22 2014, 03:19 PM) I mean... err.... what exactly you don't understand? MAS has 16,710,000,000 shares wor.... that's 16.7 billion. Today's trading volume now is ONLY 108,178,600 which is not a lot. count the percentage, ie traded volume divided by total shares..... is that a lot? When they don't look at fundamentals, when they don't look at the chart. What? Price? lai, whack me. |

QUOTE(Boon3 @ May 22 2014, 03:56 PM) Do you know that only he-girls keep saying stuff like 'whack me la'...... Walao, how come you know that clearly about he-girl? errr ..... So you know very well despite the 'apparent' huge volume traded, it's actually nothing. The traded volume is really NO big deal. That is one thing you really need to know. Second. You cannot know everything. Unless of course, you want to be a 2nd Auntie and continue to insist. Third. Traded volume do not necessary have to coincide with fundamentals at all. Look at VIS the other day. Stock was way out of fundamentals. Clearly maniupulated. But why when limit down the second time, the volume was so huge? why? Is it the birds or the bees? Fourth. Charts and fundamentals do not correlate many times. A rising stock chart DOES NOT have to be backed by strong fundamentals. Good example? AirAsia. If anyone knows half a bit of fundamentals, the results were damning. LOL! And yet, look at the stock. Fifth. People like to trade/punt based on wild theories. LOL! It's their theory, its their trade, its their money. Don't give ah? LOL! My friend is not here to do whacking. So you better not start your whacking shit and stop being like a he-girl. LOL! Must be pro/experienced customer. Yes, everybody entitled different opinions and styles. So, who cares? Rumuors~ oh yeahh~ |

QUOTE(andrekua2 @ May 22 2014, 04:09 PM) Sometimes people also have appetite for risk. Sigh, that's the problem of MAS. Bailout pulak. What goes up must come down, and vice versa. If you see a stock beaten up, there is also chance to a relief rebound. I think thats what people are hoping for. Besides there's additional sentimental like MAS being a national image which will be bailout no matter what, which boost buyer's confidence. And now M is the one who made all the decisions of proton, lagi pening. I'm fine with proton, in fact the specs are luring. Yet, the price. Malaysia~ |

QUOTE(andrekua2 @ May 22 2014, 06:33 PM) Tun masuk Proton because Proton want funds from Goverment. Using his power to achieve the goal. Once MAS bailout, Proton will follow suit. Exactly. Hopeless. Anyway, that's the other topic. Back to stocks, how's today? Some counters are really no eye see wo. Red red~ |

QUOTE(Boon3 @ May 23 2014, 09:34 PM) 1. Take out the MACD indicator. I thought MACD is quite a useful tool? Yes, you can live without it. 2. LOL! You love such setups meh? Well now you know that it doesn't work all the time... many times you can get easily seduced by just one candle. 3. A good entry solves most problem..... and it does look like you did jump the gun.... the early bird gets no worm! With that, at least it can be used as a reference tool? |

QUOTE(Boon3 @ Jun 1 2014, 09:16 AM) Company's profit went from 33m to 37m to 42m. If there's growth to be anticipated, hold then, right? This is an impressive growth. Current ttm profit is only at 39m. stock moved big from 2013 onwards... Earnings was impressive, there was bonus issue and also a reported intention to venture to O&G (duh!).. http://www.theedgemalaysia.com/business-ne...n-dividend.html Prestariang made it into 2012 shariah list. Check out Prestariang's stock performance in 2012. http://www.sc.com.my/wp-content/uploads/en...iant_120525.pdf As such, I do not agree that it being syariah compliant made it moved up so strongly. When a growth stock stops growing and starts declining.... it's always much better to SELL if you are a stock holder/investor. My 3 sen. And paiseh ya boon, just came back from jalan-jalan, will share bits of my paper trading and the reasons. This post has been edited by billy_overheat: Jun 1 2014, 03:41 PM |
