Looks like the same as z87 hero except for the keybot thingy and bigger heatsink design.
that two button at the bottom is different.

Best is now has NGFF M.2 SSD and the position allows higher GB/longer modules.

1. Watercool this - should be around 6-7k
or get another 2. titan black /sell of my u29 and get dell U34 3840x1440 or LG equivalent.
3. Get 2 more titan blacks??
4. Wait for Maxwell/Broadwell and totally change the rig

only pain is gonna need to get aqua HHD cooler cause all my WD blacks run hot hot hot since its seeding a lot of torrents.

But back to business. WC your case shouldn't take more than 4-5K tops, dual GPU setup included.

As for your Titan Blacks, 2 is enough. 3 is overkill. 4 is wasted.

If you want Maxwell/Broadwell, keep everything and only change then. Although you probably won't see much differences. I'd say get a second Titan Black, get a nice 480mm+240mm rad with D5 pump setup, and you're good to go.

actually i may have a few pumps compression, rotary etc all sitting around and enough for the build if i dont go rigid tubing.. but thought if gonna do it might as well be in the trend.

so just in the middle.. cant decide. that air rig looks like missing another titan black.

But in all honesty, you don't need twin D5's. All that mods is jacking up the price sky high. One is enough for single GPU+single CPU setup. A 480mm rad is sufficient for everything.

Or, You can make a 360+240 combo if you wish. So pump - cpu block - 360 - GPU - 240 - res. With this you can add a second Titan easily. But since you want mobo blocks you can add it between the cpu block and the 360mm rad.

Again though, you like air rigs. So you might as well just add another Titan Black and be done. For now. Haha.

4770k on mine vs a DDC with EK supreme HF and a HWlabs 280GTX/360 GTS rad with some corsair 120 howlers

btw just having a discussion with u guys so can point me at the right direction.

So far hmm gtx titan black zotac first batch sold out. thats a bummer. Getting a second one is risky from S/N thats far off from the first.

air moves to the highest point hence if this was my setup i would run the casing flat, invert the pump/res vertical so higher that the whole setup.

not sure about rad today but last time we all had bleed valve on the rad for top mount.

air no good. air no transfer heat . air kills Pumps easy

Mobo 0.6k (9.7k)
SSD 1k - (10.7k)
Say we even add two Corsair AXi1200 = 0.7k (11.4k)

dude 8pack rig is overclocked. he gave a minimum of 4.8ghz on the cpu and maximum stable on the gpu..

that is worth it. and looking at his clocking skill his bios setting will be something to pay for.

trust me if u show u guys my bios setting in bios.. u all will faint.
i kid u not each that i did manually if u change it u will bsod this comp.

Its not about clocking the cpu. thats easy
its high cpu, cache ratio combine with high dram speed. pretty sure he will be running them all in trdrd 4.
doing this.. more things than voltage comes to play..

and btw ure need that 5ghz etc for 4 titans.

havent u notice say on sli only two cards.. on 770, 680 scaling is like 80-100% in most games

but why 780 and above u dont get that.. CPU bottleneck bro...
Intel is lagging. Haswell was the first that had a chance but to get a haswell that can clock high is rare and dumps a lot of heat. rarer still a proc that clocks high with high dram clocks.

I thought GPU performance scaling was due to software optimizations for SLI. I never knew that modern CPUs can still bottleneck the GPU.

Learning something new today. Let's just say he gives you a golden sample silicon, would you personally pay such a premium for the rig? Do note the extra cost for shipping and taxes. Would really like to know if a rig specially overclocked by a master is worth the premium.
