Looks like cannot sell the casing
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « so whatcha think 1. Watercool this - should be around 6-7k or get another 2. titan black /sell of my u29 and get dell U34 3840x1440 or LG equivalent. 3. Get 2 more titan blacks?? 4. Wait for Maxwell/Broadwell and totally change the rig only pain is gonna need to get aqua HHD cooler cause all my WD blacks run hot hot hot since its seeding a lot of torrents. QUOTE(Sentinel92 @ May 4 2014, 01:39 AM) I would happily buy the case of you if someone buys mine. Hmm tech advice.. err ty.. odd cause really wasnt looking at that. was wondering would ppl actually blow on watercooling when their air rig is totally fineBut back to business. WC your case shouldn't take more than 4-5K tops, dual GPU setup included. As for your Titan Blacks, 2 is enough. 3 is overkill. 4 is wasted. If you want Maxwell/Broadwell, keep everything and only change then. Although you probably won't see much differences. I'd say get a second Titan Black, get a nice 480mm+240mm rad with D5 pump setup, and you're good to go. actually i may have a few pumps compression, rotary etc all sitting around and enough for the build if i dont go rigid tubing.. but thought if gonna do it might as well be in the trend. so just in the middle.. cant decide. that air rig looks like missing another titan black. QUOTE(Sentinel92 @ May 4 2014, 02:23 AM) Huehuehue. Guess you like em Aquacomputer blocks as well. Welcome to the club brother. Long winded. But in all honesty, you don't need twin D5's. All that mods is jacking up the price sky high. One is enough for single GPU+single CPU setup. A 480mm rad is sufficient for everything. Or, You can make a 360+240 combo if you wish. So pump - cpu block - 360 - GPU - 240 - res. With this you can add a second Titan easily. But since you want mobo blocks you can add it between the cpu block and the 360mm rad. Again though, you like air rigs. So you might as well just add another Titan Black and be done. For now. Haha. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Guess which is better 4770k on mine vs a DDC with EK supreme HF and a HWlabs 280GTX/360 GTS rad with some corsair 120 howlers btw just having a discussion with u guys so can point me at the right direction. So far hmm gtx titan black zotac first batch sold out. thats a bummer. Getting a second one is risky from S/N thats far off from the first. This post has been edited by cstkl1: May 4 2014, 11:28 AM |

QUOTE(infernoaswen @ May 4 2014, 03:31 AM) Sure go ahead, back in those days I was thinking the same thing as well. Upgraded my rig & decided to get my feet wet. Didn't regret anything, it was a great experience (I did learn a lot). It was a big blow considering the fact I was a student back then but its worth it even though my rig was just fine on air thats the thing bro. You can save couple of bucks by getting rigid tubing locally & using bitspower fittings though but if aesthetic is what you want to go for it. Rigid tubing is the way to go but keep in mind its not going to be easy when it comes to upgrading so better "fully" upgrade it first Still remember those days. When i am out for a day etc.. Always call back home and ask maid to check to see computer is fine?? |

QUOTE(azilazwa @ May 4 2014, 03:41 PM) air moves to the highest point hence if this was my setup i would run the casing flat, invert the pump/res vertical so higher that the whole setup.not sure about rad today but last time we all had bleed valve on the rad for top mount. air no good. air no transfer heat . air kills Pumps easy This post has been edited by cstkl1: May 4 2014, 04:17 PM |

But I need $14K USD anyways for a similair spec and truly high end custom rig from 8pack or Digital Storm. nah larr that fella must be smoking some cocaine..Total WC for 4 GTX titan will be about 3k usd ;s fans etc. and whatever extra 0.8k went for that silly external rad... yes he is using external. 4 titans - 4k (Since its US) (7k total) He is not even using extreme proc.. say we do 1.3k (8.3k Total) Rams only Corsair Dom Platinum 385x2 = 0.8k (Roundup) (Total 9.1k) Mobo 0.6k (9.7k) SSD 1k - (10.7k) Say we even add two Corsair AXi1200 = 0.7k (11.4k) so how?? 3.6k for that neon crap and casing?? he is definately crazy. but as the recent lesson in life has thought me. for every conmen.. theres plenty of dumbass. dude 8pack rig is overclocked. he gave a minimum of 4.8ghz on the cpu and maximum stable on the gpu..
that is worth it. and looking at his clocking skill his bios setting will be something to pay for. trust me if u show u guys my bios setting in bios.. u all will faint. i kid u not each that i did manually if u change it u will bsod this comp. QUOTE(Lucassss @ May 8 2014, 10:18 PM) Not everyone is willing to pay that kind of premium for a rig just because it overclocks better than others. I'm no overclocker or expert, but I'm pretty sure a processors that clocks at 5GHz and 4.5GHz doesn't make a difference between heaven and hell. Its not about clocking the cpu. thats easyWouldn't these extra clocks be useful only for benchmarks because the difference in real life wouldn't be very significant isn't it? its high cpu, cache ratio combine with high dram speed. pretty sure he will be running them all in trdrd 4. doing this.. more things than voltage comes to play.. and btw ure need that 5ghz etc for 4 titans. havent u notice say on sli only two cards.. on 770, 680 scaling is like 80-100% in most games but why 780 and above u dont get that.. CPU bottleneck bro... Intel is lagging. Haswell was the first that had a chance but to get a haswell that can clock high is rare and dumps a lot of heat. rarer still a proc that clocks high with high dram clocks. http://www.anandtech.com/show/7277/overclo...fastest-systems 150cpu's of haswell dude i did 22 cpus and i only for 4.5ghz a few of them at 1.2/1.25v. QUOTE(Lucassss @ May 8 2014, 10:32 PM) Me no understand 50% of what you said bro. http://www.anandtech.com/show/7277/overclo...fastest-systemsI thought GPU performance scaling was due to software optimizations for SLI. I never knew that modern CPUs can still bottleneck the GPU. Learning something new today. Let's just say he gives you a golden sample silicon, would you personally pay such a premium for the rig? Do note the extra cost for shipping and taxes. Would really like to know if a rig specially overclocked by a master is worth the premium. Personally, between this and the glowing green shit, I'd pick this. 150cpu's of haswell dude i did 22 cpus and i only for 4.5ghz a few of them at 1.2/1.25v. read this and understand.. how many cpus were used and what speed he is guaranting on his rigs.. 4x titans at 1200mhz is already nuts. haswell min 4.8ghz-5ghz at 1.3v.
